I'm a screen and historical fiction writer who fell in mad love with science fiction at a rock concert. The idea behind my first science fiction work, "the Sovereign," was seeing science-fiction/technology as a place for me, a young woman of color. That was something that, from the visual entertainment arts, I'd never seen, and my love of metal and music overall adds to the rare collection of attributes.  Combining those two loves into this book, the unapologetic influence is seen throughout. 

I'm a freelance photographer,  copyeditor, and foodie by day, my favorite type font is Adobe Caslon (Regular), and my favorite gaming console is the Sega Genesis.
