Need a little rant sesh so here we go…
Figure skating hates me today. Like if she was a person she’d be dead by now. The blood would be on my hands. Today figure skating was seriously rage bating me!
#1 ilia Malinin is abusing instagram…like honey please refrain from torturing your fans. Like am I the only one who finished that vid with more questions than answers? Also the ice dance and pairs theories as going wild. Guys I think he’s like not big enough to do either. Anyway probably not on pairs. And there’s no way he’s switching to ice dance (I say as if I do not have five thousand words of an ilia Malinin ice dance fic sitting in my drafts). Anyway someone take away this man’s phone (after he makes a proper announcement asap)
#2 my new skates…ugh. I hate breaking in new skates but these ones especially are making me mad. Number one they’re slightly two lose so my toe doesn’t full touch the front and I am the kind of person who needs to feel my heel and my toe in skate. Number two the blades are pissing me off, it’s really the edges on them, my outside edge feel strangely flat I don’t know how to explain it, I don’t know if this is the actual blade or the sharpening or what, the edges just aren’t deep at all and it’s pmo.
#3 I had my skating eval today and it’s been two years so okay I moved back two levels, sucks but I get it. No the ragebait part is that I can do a perfect mohawk, a three turn that’s better than when I left, AND almost hit the lunge that I never even go close to, but I can’t do frikin crossovers with perfect technique! I’ve been doing crossovers since I was seven . Pretty sure I learned all the technique wrong and now it’s coming back to bite me…and my edges being funky and skates not broken in was not helping.
Anyway though, I was so happy to be back on the ice. I love you all. And which fic would you rather I update? When the Stars Collide or When the Gods Fall? Also any new fic requests?? I’m always open to them!
