There's nothing I hate more than writing setting.
lol!! I get that, but I just love to dive into the mind. I hate that I kinda have to talk about where the character is and what they’re wearing and stuff. But your perspective is interesting though. Thanks for the compliment, I’m sure I’ll have many to shower you with once I reach your work.
@zarav_oss Really? I love personally LOVE writing setting, I get to teleport from my boring life to a mystical land were school is not needed ^⎚-⎚^ But I guess I do have skill issue with writing 1st person /ᐠ ╥ ˕ ╥マ but you are amazing at it

Hey there @zarav_oss, how are things? I was curious if you are still doing the review on my book, The Missing Pixel? Not trying to rush you or anything, just wanted to know an estimate on when you think it will come out?
@XaphRowan Lol nooo! That’s okay—I can manage it, and I understand your concern. I actually love doing it; I just worry about the time it takes to do them well. I’m currently juggling a lot of work at once, but I’m structuring things out and focusing on one story at a time. This does mean you’ll have to wait a bit longer as a client, but by the time your review is completed, I’ll make sure it’s flawless and truly helpful. I really appreciate your patience and consideration—I’ll definitely get your review done!
@zarav_oss, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I would argue you put that pressure on yourself by committing to more than you have time for. It's ok, I don't mind if you skip my book entirely, I don't think you are in the right mindset for it right now. So please consider yourself unburdened by our agreement at least :) There are no residual bad feelings on my part and I hope you feel the same. Best of luck going forward.
Greetings Zarav, I hope you're doing well, if not—you can always borrow a bag of bingo chips from me. :) I read "Jude's Philosophy of Gay Cancer" in it's entirety, not because I was required to, but more because, I wanted to. It was really a deep, dark and delicious ride of Jude's life, his philosophy and eventual transformation. I realize in retrospect that I used the wrong pronouns for a few characters initially, and I would like to apologize sincerely for that. It was a tale that gripped me from the start to the end and I couldn't stop reading. There were some parts that could've been deepened for higher emotional impact, but as is, with it's characters, their stories and the highs and lows shining through, it's great. It's going into my personal favorites category. I could keep rambling but I think as much as I love Jude, I love Dante the most, maybe he was supposed to be lovable, but you've got a lot of representation, social issues and commentary that make your book remarkable. P.S.: Here's an awesome badge for you. Feel free to use it—or not use it but I hand it out only to the special ones: https://imgur.com/a/H3x8PBY With smoke alarms going off in the kitchen, Mr. Bingo
@zarav_oss No, the book is too mature to be on Wattpad. If you're able to get a physical copy, any local library will have it (since its a classic) and if you're looking for ebook, you could get it on Amazon and if none of those options work for you, you could look up a pdf version of the same on internet. There's no exclusive Trigger Warnings page but in brief, it involves human slavery and exploitation taken to the maximum levels.
@zarav_oss I am so happy you like the review! My reading tastes of the dark and gritty works are quite on the higher end so it was a feast for my soul, though for an average reader it might be too raw and visceral. I am stating this so that you know that I share your reading tastes for the grim things—we just don't live on the edge, we thrive! As for the feedback, there are a few things that could make it so much better but I also want to do justice to your work and provide an in-depth review, it'll take time but I'll get there. In the meantime—since you're an artist who appreciates the darkness of the human psyche, I'd highly recommend Justine by Marquis de Sade if you've not already read it. That book is a prime illustration of what darkness looks like without the safety nets. The darkness isn’t there for shock—it’s woven into the story with purpose, revealing uncomfortable truths about power dynamics, desire, and societal hypocrisy. Your book is already halfway there—a read like this would definitely give you a new perspective.

Do you prefer longer or shorter chapters?
@ zarav_oss speaking only about wattpad, yes I agree chapters should be quite short. It's like the Japanese "light novel" theory I guess. People can read with a phone or a pad everywhere, also during a train trip or something like this. So a very long chapter doesn’t really have sense.
@Yuyswag This is so heartwarming to read. I certainly think that chapters should be longer in physical books, but I can't say the same for Wattpad. That's just what I've observed though. I get what you mean though. I gravitate towards books with longgg chapters. Right now I'm reading a book that has over 800 pages and it's such a page-turner.
@ zarav_oss I think this is a huge question. And I don't have a precise answer. I do understand that a short chapter flows really good to read, but... I don't know, I mean, I grew up with those old literature with such longs chapters, so long that I was feeling lost in it in the good way you know, forcing me to use a bookmark cause how long they were... thinking about that makes me feel nostalgic. There are huge pros and cons in both of the approaches. I get that nowadays we're probably going for the short ones.
