There was a soft warmth feeling across his face as the sun rised and shone through the window. Auro opened his eyes to see the hand, that he was holding, suddenly move. He immediately raised his head to see Arena smile at him brightly. He never felt such relief before. Auro embraced Arena so tightly that Arena felt some pain from the wound. "I am so sorry, I never should have" Arena cut him off, "Don't worry about it, I am OK. I just need sometime to rest. Remember what you told me, 'what else could you have done.'" Auro smiled in response to Arena quoting him.
Auro stood up and noticed Arena's basket on the window sil. It had all the jars in it with the soil. Auro and Arena were delighted that Kim was able to get it back. Auro decided that he was going to go for his morning run and check up on Arena later.
Mary came out from the storage room to greet the two and offered to make Auro breakfast, but Auro declined. Mary then invited him and his sister to supper, and this time Arena insisted that he come. Auro accepted the offer on one condition, that Arena gets lots of rest. Arena smiled saying that its a deal. Auro then thanked Mary and left.
As Auro made his way up towards his house, he noticed blood droplets. He didn't think much of it at first, until it lead directly to his house. Auro could only think of one thing, "what happened to Kim" . Auro exploded into a sprint to get to Kim. He barged through the front door, and his heart sunk for a moment. On the floor was Kim's bloody clothes. Auro yelled out "Kim!" and proceeded to her room.
As he opened the bedroom door,he crossed his fingers hoping that she would be there. He saw Kim laying in bed, heavily bandaged around her thigh, arm and waist. Auro wanting to tear up, stopped himself, still remembering Mary's slap. Auro approached Kim, who was sleeping, and stood over her, thinking that this could have probably been prevented, if he had gone back for her. Auro gritted his teeth and punched the wall.
This woke Kim up. Auro apologized for waking her. She smiled to see Auro, but then the smile turned to pain. Auro asked what happened to her? "Oh, it's a long story" Kim answered. "we've got time" Auro said as her grabbed her desk chair to sit next to her.
Kim made herself as comfortable as possible with Auro fluffing an extra pillow for her.Kim, "Where to begin"
[Flash back]
Once Kim took care of the two attackers. She looked at Arena to see what she wanted her to do. Arena gestured to her to get the basket. Kim nodded and began the hunt. The thief tried his best to lose Kim by taking back-alleys and knocking things over to slow her down. Nothing he did could stop Kim from persuing him. Kim managed to throw a knife into the thief's arm, however this didn't stop him. He ran into a building. Kim followed, only to realize, once inside, that it was the bandits hideout.
About a hand full of bandits stood up to confront Kim, but she was not going to let the thief get away. She armed herself and weaseled her way past the bandits who were trying to block the path to the thief. He made his way up a flight of steps. Kim was able to grab his leg which caused him to fall over, but still he held on to the basket. Kim was grabbed as well by another bandit. She kicked the bandit with her heel, knocking out his front teeth and continued to chase the thief.
Once Kim caught up to the thief again , she leapt on him before he could jump to another roof, but she got kicked off him by one of the bandits almost immediately. The thief laid on the floor in pain, breathing heavily. The bandits seemed to not care about him and only had eyes on Kim.
Kim stood up and prepared herself for a fight. She was surrounded, some even had weapons such as Bob-wired bats and knives. Kim smirked at the challenge and thought to herself,"I never took on more than thirty at a time, this is going to be tough."
The guys started whistling and calling her names even saying things that they were going to do with her. She didn't pay much attention to it, only side stepping and assessing the situation. Finally a bandit swung his bat at her. She easily side stepped it and stabbed him through his neck. This caused a barrage of attacks from the bandits. Kim swiftly dodged most of them and countering some by stabbing or cutting exposed areas of their bodies. She even had most of them hit each other in the chaos. Kim, after some time, got backed into a corner. This made her uncomfortable and she immediately went on the offense. She stabbed a bandit in his stomach and then proceeded to use him as a shield. There was still too many bandits which led to one of them cutting Kim's arm. Kim gritted her teeth and made some space between her and the bandits. She contemplated to grab the basket and leave, but the smug look on the face of the bandit that cut her, changed her mind. She lunged at him stabbing him through the eye then proceeded to aggressively drag the knife down through the rest of his face. Another bandit managed to strike her by the leg with a Bob-wired bat. This knocked her out of her blind rage, causing her to be cornered again. She noticed the thief getting up with the basket. Kim, still back tracking, threw her last knife into the back of the thief. The bandits were more hesitant to attack Kim because there were only six of them still standing. She stood up right but did not put much weight on her injured leg. She limped forward towards the Bandits. One tiredly swung at her, this was still child's play even if she was injured. She easily disarmed him, then swung the bat hitting him across the face.
