All Eyes towards the Soldier

Eren patiently waited for the old lady Linda to prepare a set of meal. He helped her organize the large tray, filling it with fruits, a bowl of soup, a slice of roasted chicken, a vegetable salad, a slice of cake, and all other edibles that a soldier like Eren couldn't recognize, but still looked appetizing.

He bid the old lady goodbye, taking the large tray with him back to the prince's chambers, taking concise and concrete steps, careful not to spill any food.

Up to now, his heart couldn't stop pounding hard. His blush was long gone but his heart wouldn't stop reminding him of the sudden events. Personally, Eren never once thought of a female as his soulmate, heck, he doesn't even have attraction towards the opposite sex. So finding out who his soulmate was actually explains his attraction to men.

The Commander Smith, in Eren's definition, is actually physically desirable, anyone would want his perfectly sculpted body. He caught Eren's attention just after he laid his eyes on him, he seriously liked fit and mature men. However, he instantly liked the prince only by knowing that he is his soulmate, and his preference instantly changed from a ‘tall, blonde and handsome’ into a ‘never tall, raven, and fucking handsome’, not to mention that the prince is also physically fit, his muscles stretching his royal clothes at times.

When Eren realized that he had been thinking of men, one being the prince, he instantly blushed again, nearly walking past the Prince's chambers. He shook his head, erasing all his thoughts and trying to calm his heart. When he felt presentable, at the very least, he knocked on the door using his toe, considering that both his hands are busy holding the tray.

Not long after, the prince personally opened the door, helping Eren with the tray. “Honey, come on in and sit on the bed.”

Eren's eyes widened at the nickname. “H-Honey?! B-bed?! S-sir! This is not appropriate!!” He held himself with both arms, seemingly protecting his body from violation.

Levi stopped midway, his eyes staring at Eren in a normal gaze, trying to figure out what the soldier is calling ‘inappropriate’. “First of all, I want to call my future spouse ‘honey’, just go along with it. That's an order. Second, what are you calling inappropriate? Go sit on the bed, there's no more space on the chairs for you, for fuck's sake.” The prince mentally palmed his face with Eren's, obviously, incoherent thoughts.

Eren blushed, finally finding the strength to step inside, his face paling when he saw the people sitting mightily around the bed. There is the King and the Ladies, comfortably sitting, all there eyes directed to Eren, while Hanji sat farther from the three.

Levi watched as Eren silently head to the bed and sat stiffly, bowing his head in refusal to gaze back at the royalties. He sighed, placing the tray of food on the table, before joining Eren, sitting beside him.

“So why have you called everyone? And why here in your chambers? We can use the throne room, or the meeting hall.” Levi's mother, Lady Kuchel, casually asked him. She placed his leg over the other, looking straight at him.

“I want nobody but us to know what I'll be revealing today, so I called everyone in my room.” Levi started. “Eren here,” he held the soldier's hand. Eren blushed and tried to pry the Prince's hand but the prince held his hand tighter. “He is my soulmate.”

Everybody's eyes widened, their jaws slightly dropping. There was a moment of silence, everyone looking at each other, unable to muster a word. While the two held each other's hands, Eren flushed, his face red, waiting for the next words to be shared. He nervously gazed at each royalty, then lastly to the young man beside him. “No one is capable of speaking right now, is there?” he whispered to the raven.

“Later on they will finally start to discuss it with us.” Levi whispered back. Caressing the brunette's cheek, he made sure to paint each and every detail of Eren's face in his mind, that he may never forget him. He wanted to memorize every detail, every spot, every curve, everything.

Eren couldn't help but blush a bit, the prince had been staring too long, and he could feel not only the raven's eyes but also everyone's eye directed towards him. He couldn't meet their eyes. Those eyes that screamed curiousity seemed as if they could see through Eren's soul. Never in his life did he ever find looking someone back in the eye too hard until now. Though Levi's words are comfort, there's still a lingering discomfort, maybe, because they had only known each other days ago.

Not long after, the King spoke. “I am greatly delighted that you had found such a treasure Levi. However, I wanted you to tell me your schemes. What does this confession mean? Are you trying to tell me that you want to break your engagement to the general's daughter? You are aware of the consequences, aren't you?”

Levi smiled, a very rare sight that is almost believed to be unrealistic. Everyone was surprised, even his own mother, who last saw his smile when he was really young, back when he never knew of his origin. “You really do understand me, Uncle.”

He held Eren's hand tighter. “I am well aware of the engagement. I want to make it clear and precise. I do not want to break the engagement.” Eren gazed at the prince in horror. “That is because I will make her break the engagement herself. I have my plans, and in order for it to come true, I will be needing everyone's help. I know you will not fail me for this is the first time in years so long that my heart finally felt joy again. My connection to my soulmate is too strong to break and everyone in this room understands it, am I right?”

Everyone was silenced, they clearly know how precisely the prince predict them. They are Family after all.

This is really delayed but I'm hoping you enjoyed.

I hope everybody enjoyed Christmas despite the challenges of the present world. I enjoyed Christmas, I really hope you guys did too. I'm looking forward for new year cz we usually grill meat and I like meat, then we watch movies til new year comes. I hope you enjoy new year too. It's good to  celebrate new year at home. We do it yearly cz dad wants our home to receive the blessing for the coming year, that's how I see it.

Stay safe and just be positive. (BTW, I'm from the Philippines, and I'd really like to hear how you guys celebrate holidays too.)
