The Wings of FreedomDuring the early times, where gods are not far from the people inhabiting the Earth, love is something described as physical attraction. Attractive people receive more love compared to those who lacked.
Day and Night were two gods that could never meet. After Day leaves the Earth, comes Night and they never could stand together.
Each were wanting to see the other. While Night stays with Moon and other divinities that stays with him, Day travels along with Sun and numerous others that stays with her.
Came a time when Day walked the Earth, shedding its light that comes from Sun, she ran across Mother Nature and had a talk. “Oh what beauty do thy Day possess. Perhaps, divinities would want thy Day to love and be loved.”
“I am much more concerned that I cannot meet thy Night. I desire for a brief moment with him.” Day replied, her voice subtle, and when she left, came Night spreading darkness throughout the Earth.
He met Mother Nature as she blessed the Nocturnal beings their strength for the darkness of the evening. “Oh dear, thy mighty Night.”
Night sighed. “Once again, Day have left as soon as I arrive.” Dread filled him, making the darkness turn pitch black, allowing Cloud to cover Moon.
“The same dread as Day.” Mother Nature replied. “She wished the same as yours.” With a feminine laugh, she went on, leaving Night to go his own way.
All-Knowing god granted their wish, extending the length of Day's travel for half the year and Night's visit for the rest. Their meetings gave birth to Dusk and Dawn, allowing Polaris, the Northern Star, to forever guard their love.
That was when they realized that love is not a physical attraction but is our adoration and connections with the one that was fated to us, no matter what gender, kind, or type of person they are.
Their love blossomed even though most of the time, they cannot meet, yet Dusk and Dawn was enough for them.
Sharing their blessing with the humans, they made sure that every living life on Earth find its soulmate and blessed them with an amazing gift after unison, those were the Wings of Freedom. Freedom, not love, due to the fact that this is the symbolism for their freedom to love and that they had been freed from the shackles of loneliness.

“Carla, have you ever thought if these wings are of use? I have tried flying through these but I was only able to lift a few inches from the ground.”
Carla leaned to her side, trying to remember if she was able to use her own wings too. “I was wondering too. I really appreciate it but I cannot seem to use it.”
Grisha sat on his mahogany seat, tapping his fingers on the mahogany table. “I am very sure that these wings are for flying.”
The lady smiled, crouching down to match her husbands level. “Why don't we conduct a research.” She giggled. “I am not very good with the technicalities but I can help you gather your data.”
The man smiled back at her. “Thank you dear.” He turned his attention towards the stack of empty papers and notes. “Then, we can record it to show our future children.”
“I will talk to Lady Kuchel so we can have the old house at the back of the castle.” Grisha stood from his seat. “So that we can have a place for researching.”
“It is dangerous.” Carla argued. “That house was very old that the wooden walls are about to collapse!”
Grisha smiled at her, taking her hand into his. “I am aware. However, the basement is very well conditioned.” Sighing, Grisha kissed the back of her hand. “Then we can slowly repair the house and start to stay there as well.”
“Fine. However,” Carla paused and stared at Grisha with a serious face. “The moment I get pregnant, I want to ho back to Shiganshina.”
“Yes, of course. That is the best.”

“Lady Kuchel, I want to express my gratitude for letting us stay here.” Grisha held Carla by her hips, pulling her close to his side. “This is where we part, for now.”
“Of course.” the lady replied, her face as smug as ever. “I would appreciate a visit from you.”
“We will take that into account, Your Excellence.” Carla smiled at her as she slowly climbed the carriage, leaving the door open as she sat.
“We are still friends Grisha, remember that.” Kuchel said. “I would be happy if you could have a daughter, so that my son can marry her.”
The three laughed in harmony.
“Then we must pray to the gods to make our child your son's soulmate.” Carla said, giggling.
“It has to be.” Kuchel finally smiled. “I don't want my son to meet the same fate I did with his father.”
The atmosphere turned gloomy.
“Well, he was your soulmate.” Grisha frowned. “But he was an evil man who delight in evil deeds.”
Carla smiled bitterly. “I hope Levi gets through that darkness in your lives.”
“I'm hoping too.” Kuchel sadly looked down. “If only I can wash his eyes off the things he witnessed that day. He is only seven.”
“He is a strong kid. He will grow up into a man that his father was not capable of.” Grisha replied, trying to lift the burden off her shoulders.
“Grisha is right. Levi is a great kid. I can see it. He cares for you so much, Kuchel. He does not want to see you sad.” Carla added. “So wipe your sorrow off your face and plaster a smile. Levi will feel sad to see you like this.”
“I will do my best to be a good mother to him.” Kuchel replied. “I will expect your visit soon.”
“I cannot promise an immediate visit but we can assure you. We will visit soon.” Grisha replied.
