The Horrors of Blues

Part Three

Kay had woken up the next morning getting ready for school she didn't seem to pay much thought to what she saw last night but then again she wasn't trying to remember the grin the man had. She was replaying it in her mind all day hoping that she would not come across the grinning man again, that is the name she had given the inhuman spirit. Kays mother Bella was waiting for her at the front doors of the school getting ready to take her home to have dinner, Bella asked her if everything was okay since Kay seemed a little unsettled once she got into the car. She told her Bella that she was fine just a bit tired, which was true since she had a hard time sleeping after seeing the grinning man. They pulled into the driveway and Bella grabbed her backpack to see if she had any homework to do before dinner was finished, they went inside to find Liss cooking. Kay wasn't sure what her grandmother was making but she knew that she was a great cook and wouldn't disappoint after having the schools lunch anything would've been better than what she had eaten that morning. Bella had asked her to grab her school folder and start her homework and that she would fix her a plate once dinner was ready, Kay grabbed her things and headed towards the living room. Nobody was home yet her stepfather was still working and her brother and sister were sleeping upstairs they were still babies Leo and Cassie were only 13months apart so it was like having twins crying at the same time so when they were napping everyone took advantage of the quietness . Kay was a couple months away from turning six she shared her birthday with her mother and everyone thought that was cool she didn't think so, she always felt she was taking something away from her mother.

While laying on the living room floor she started to do her homework Kay didn't know much english but she was learning through school therefore her assignments were given more often than to other student who already spoke english as a first language. Kay was becoming tired of writing so she took a break soon as she laid her pencil down  she heard a low but awful laugh, she looked around to see if maybe her cousins were trying to play a joke on her and then she realized that again that nobody was home expect for her Leo, Cassie her mother and grandma. Kay jumped to her feet and ran towards the couch she started to feel very scared the laugh sounded diabolical, she knew that because not only was halloween her favorite holiday but also her favorite movies to watch were horror genre so she knew exactly what a creepy laugh sounded like. She began to say a prayer in her head because her mother always told her whenever she felt unsettled while sleeping or anytime at all to say a prayer and it would calm her. In the middle of her prayer she heard it again....
