You wake up to a few text messages from Detective Olinsky.
"Hey, it's Al Olinsky."
"Instead of meeting at 21 after work, stop by my place."
"32456 West Grash street, come to the garage."
You read through the texts and smile.
You get out of bed and walk down the hall and into the bathroom to get ready. You put on some light makeup and brush through your hair.
You walk back into your room and over to your closet, looking for a nice outfit for the day.
Picking out a light blue shirt and a pair of black jeans, you look at yourself in the mirror.
"Smart and sexy." You say with a laugh.
You finish getting ready and walk out the front door, locking it behind you. You get into your car and start it. Hearing the engine roar as you start it fills your stomach with tons of butterflies.
The drive into the district seems to last longer than usual. Getting stuck in some traffic due to an accident.
You finally get into work 30 minutes later than you prefer. Walking down the stairs and buzzing into the room, you see Sergeant Rush and Matt look over at you.
"Look who decided to show up!" Matt says in a mocking tone as you walk over to your desk and sit down.
"Sorry that I'm a little late, there was a huge accident." You say, sitting down in the chair.
"It's fine y/n. I think we are all more interested in finding out how your first meeting with Detective Olinsky went!" Sergeant Rush says.
"It was fine! We just talked about the risks and how it's similar to improv acting." You say, looking over in Matt's direction.
"Are you going to be meeting up with him again?" Rush says.
"Yes Sir. I am meeting him again today." You say.
"Fantastic. Now, I think we have a lead from forensics with the glass shards you two found at the scene, correct?" Rush says, standing up and walking over to the whiteboard.
"Yes. We have an I.D. for a Katrine Everst." Matt says, holding up a picture of her.
"I checked her records, she has zero priors with CPD." Joanna says.
"I'm going to send out 2 patrol to watch her, I'll give them the go-ahead to stop her for any reason and bring her in for questioning." Rush says.
"For now, I want anything and everything on Everest. Check into her family." Rush says as he walks into his office and calls a patrol unit.
You look over at Matt who was looking at you.
"It's got to be her, but why?" Matt says as he picks up the picture.
"I guess we'll find out but, I've never heard of an old white woman gang before. Guess there is a first for everything." You say as you open up the case file and look over some of the evidence.
A few hours pass and 2 patrol officers come down the stairs with an older, cacasuin woman.
Rush comes out of his office and points to the questioning room down a short hallway.
"Joanna and Matt, take this one." Rush says as he looks over into the room where Everst was sitting.
Matt and Joanna get up and walk into the room.
Sergeant Rush looks over at you and motions you into his office.
You walk into his office and sit down across from him.
"y/n. I wanted to call you in here because I need you to do some paperwork and fill out this form." He says, sliding a stack of papers across the desk.
"Okay?" You say, picking them up.
"It's protocol for when someone starts undercover work." Rush says.
"Thanks, Sir." You say while standing up and walking back over to your desk. You toss the stack of papers down and start to fill them out, one by one.
The last few hours of your shift fly by.
Sergeant Rush comes out of his office and starts to debrief the case.
"We are closing in on which gang took down this guy. Everyone can turn it in for today." Rush says as he walks into his office and closes the door behind him.
You get up, grab the mound of paperwork and walk up the stairs. You leave the district and walk into the parking lot. Throwing all of your stuff into the backseat, you stop and stand outside of your car for a few minutes.
Thinking about Olinsky makes you blush.
You get into your car and start the 20 minute drive over to his house.
You show up at 6:08pm and quickly get out of your car. You walk up the steps of the beautiful house and knock on the door.
A medium height woman comes to the door.
"Can I help you?" She says.
"Yeah, I am looking for Al Olinsky. I think I'm at the right address?" You say with a fretful smile.
"Oh." Her voice trails off as she looks you up and down. "Around the back, in the garage." She says.
"Ah! Thank you so much." You say with a smile and walk off the porch.
You slip around the back of the house and walk up to the door of the garage. Knocking on the door, you feel a flutter in your stomach.
Within a few seconds he opens up the door.
"Hey y/n. Come in." Olinsky says as he opens the door, letting you walk inside.
You walk inside and look around for a second.
"It's really nice in here Sir." You say, letting him walk past you.
"Call me Al." He says as he walks over to the couch and sits down.
"So, Al. I got my official paperwork to do Undercover work today from Rush." You say.
"That's exciting. Are you worried at all?" Al says.
"No, not really. Why?" You say.
"No reason. I just dont want you to worry about working undercover." Al says, as he stands up and walks over to you. He is standing directly in front of you and the two of you lock eyes
"You're too beautiful to worry." Al says as he slides his hand under your chin and lifts it up.
He brings your face close to his, Al leans forward pressing his lips into yours as you kiss back.
After a few seconds, he pulls away and drops his hand from your face.
"I'm sorry. That was wrong." Al says as he looks away from you.
"No. It was wrong that you stopped." You say, grabbing his arm.
He pulls you into another kiss, this time a longer, more passionate kiss. He slides his hand around the back of your head and runs his finger through your hair.
You take your hand and run your fingers up his arm, resting your hand on his shoulder.
