It was lunchtime and I sat at the table with Jaylah. Aaliyah had come back to school today and as expected she gave me and Jaylah the cold shoulder.Jaylah had told me on FaceTime that she and Aaliyah got into it because Aaliyah felt like Jaylah should cut me off for the 'Toosii situation.' I mean I'm all for being with your best friend through right or wrong but Aaliyah was being ridiculous.
For starters I owe Aaliyah no loyalty, I barely know the girl, and the fact that I was trying to get Toosii to talk to her despite knowing he didn't like her the way she wanted him too and she still decided she wanted to have a bitch fit still doesn't sit right with me so neither of us spoke to each other while we sat through our math class.
I was listening to Jaylah talk as I popped some grapes in my mouth.
"Are you going back to Fayetteville for thanksgi-" she stops and looks behind me and I turn seeing Toosii, Jazir, and two others coming to sit at the table. The smaller boy was the one I met while I was in the nurse's office but I couldn't remember his name.
"What are you doing?" I ask Toosii who took a seat next to me.
"Sittin' down what it look like I'm doin?"
"No offense but why? Don't you sit clear across the cafeteria? And where did you come from? You weren't in first period and neither was Jazir."
"Shit I just wanted to check on you af'ta yesterday and I wanted you to come to the studio after school I want you to hear somethin'."
"Well, I'm fine even though I'm probably grounded until I'm twenty-five. My mom was pissed so most likely I won't be goin' to the studio."
"Come on I know you can finesse somethin'."
I think for a moment before glancing at Jaylah who was enjoying her chips.
She catches me looking at her and frowns.
"What?"
"Unless Jaylah comes with me."
"No." She says pushing a chip in her mouth.
"Please?" I ask.
"No. I don't wanna be around Toosie roll and the three Musketeers any longer than I need to be. I get my daily dose of irritation from the here in school."
I still wanna know what happened between Jaylah and Toosii. They really don't like each other and it's odd because they kinda act the same.
"Please Jaylah." I poke my lips out and stare at her. "I'll buy you food."
She rolls her eyes. "Fine! But food first." She says before putting her headphones in and going back to her chips.

It was now the last class of the day, I sat in my seat in Chemistry and take out my materials for the class. I was sending Jaylah a message when I hear Toosii sit in the seat beside me. I smelled him before I saw him. The cologne he wore wasn't strong but it was bold, it fit him.
"So what happened with you and your mom. I'm nosey so I wanna know."
"Well hello to you too," I say putting my phone down on the table. "If you must know, I'll just say if she knew we were in the same class she'd change my entire schedule. And if she knew we were talking right now she'd send me right back to Fayetteville."
