Chapter 5: The Morning After

Welcome back to another installment of "#Love Is In The Air', we have now officially reached the second episode "Wig". Let's see how the Quad will be coping with the now bald Alexa and Katie.

The screams of Alexa Mendoza and Katie Cooper were loud enough to wake up the entire Mendoza residence.

Alexa and Katie were standing in the bathroom, their heads clean and shaven bald. Beside them was an equally distraught looking Cyrus Nollen with his hands pressed onto his face that he honestly looked like 'The Scream' but with tanner skin and a larger nose.

"Ok Lex, I knew that your hair was gonna start falling off after the chemotherapy, but I wasn't expecting you to lose all your hair that soon." Cyrus spoke out.

"Yeah I was expecting it to feel like going to a surprise party, only with less party and more 'bald'." Alexa made a joke back, trying to ease the situation.

"So what now?" Katie asked out loud in an anxious tone.

"You're asking me?" Alexa responded with a forced smile, "A few minutes ago, I had hair. I mean it was falling out in chunks but I wasn't expecting to be bald tonight."

"Does your head feel weird, girls?" Cyrus asked out.

"Super weird." Katie and Alexa responded, touching their bald heads.

"Oh no, we all start school on Thursday, which would be fine if we were on Mars." Katie started to ramble.

"What happened? We heard screaming." At that moment, both of Alexa's parents walked in, before the two teen girls turned to face the couple.

"Holy Mother of Dragons!" Lori exclaimed in shock.

"Wow." David muttered out loud, still in shock and processing the revelation.

"Honey, I didn't know your hair started coming out," Lori went to hug her daughter tightly.

"Ok, mom. I might need to breathe." Alexa croaked out weakly before her mother lets go of the hug.

"My beautiful girl," Lori cupped her daughter's face, before adding, "Thank god you didn't get your father's head. I would've helped you."

"I didn't know I was doing it until I was doing it." Alexa responded. "Katie kinda helped me start it."

"I think she's still in shock, Lex." Cyrus pointed out, waving a hand in front of Katie who was looking at the mirror.

"Katie." Lori went to hug Katie as well, "Dave, can you believe Katie did this for Alexa?"

"Yeah, uh I like how you..." David motioned to his head before muttering out, "wow."

"Cyrus, shouldn't you be at home with your mom?" Lori asked out.

"Yeah, I kinda came over to apologize to Katie and Alexa, when I got roped into the shaving." Cyrus explained for himself. It would be concerning for any parent to find their daughter, her friend and their teenage neighbor in the same bathroom in the middle of the night.

"And you didn't shave your head too?" Lori questioned.

"I'm just here to provide moral support." Cyrus raised a hand.

"This is the sweetest thing I have ever seen," Lori smiled, but noticed Katie is still in shock of what she just did.

"I think she zoned out again." Cyrus pointed out, before snapping his fingers to get Katie's attention. The poor girl must be distraught that she has lost her hair as an effort to support and be there for her best friend. "Katie?"
