Chapter 4: The Aftermath of the Trugly Incident

I just realized that I haven't updated this story in over a year, I apologize for that: school and life as well as writer block can keep me busy from finishing the chapter. Recently I started re-watching 'Alexa and Katie' again and remembered how much I liked writing for this AU story, so without further ado here is chapter 4 of "#Love Is In The Air".

Well, that just happened!

Apparently, Alexa Mendoza, Cyrus Nollen and the Cooper siblings: Katie and Jack had all vandalized their Vice-Principal Trugly's house last night.

And now all three families were to attend a Parent-Teacher Conference to discuss what actions should be taken against the midnight vandals.

"All in all, I would say you nailed the Sloppy Trugly prank." Jerry Chan spoke out with a tiny smirk.

"That's not exactly what you should say to someone who's facing 'Judgement Day'." Alexa Mendoza frowned at her friend.

"Still. It was funny." Lucas Mendoza, her older brother, gave a light chuckle.

Jerry Chan nudged Lucas by the elbow, motioning him to hush up.

"Ok, I understand that we're here because of the 'incident' from last night." Katie voiced out, "but why are the rest of you here."

Katie motioned to Jack, Lucas, Evangelyn and Jerry.

"We're here providing Moral and Emotional support." Evangelyn responded, giving them a light smile. "I'm sure everything will be alright."

"I'm here because it was either this or watching Grandpa and Grandma argue over which TV channel to watch." Jerry replied with a half-shrug.

"We're part of the family too." Evangelyn added. "Not biologically related."

"Thanks." Cyrus gave a half-hearted smile.

"Well, we ALL know Cyrus will be part of the family when he grows up and marries Alexa!" Jack piped in, before Alexa and Cyrus scooched away from each other, flustered.

"Jack, shush!" Jennifer hissed at her son.

"What? It's true!" Jack claimed, before Jerry covered Jack's mouth.

"The last time someone got sent to the Principal's office this early before school was when two of the Seniors, Gordy and Jesse, got in trouble for spiking the fruit punch during last year's Winter Formal. And then Career Guidance Counselor Chuck almost got fired because he supplied the alcohol contents" Jerry added.

"Lots of vomit. Glad I skipped it." Lucas nodded. Last year, the high schoolers (Lucas, Cyrus, Evan, Jerry plus Bronwyn) skipped out Winter Formal was because of Alexa's worsening condition.

"I cannot believe we have to show up here in the early morning!" Lori shook her head.

"What on earth were you all thinking?!" Gail just proceeds to scolding the mess-makers.

"Calm down, Gail." Jennifer tries to restrain Gail from any form of mental breakdowns. The last time she (Gail) had a mental breakdown was when her husband (Cyrus's father) had divorced her and left for another (younger) woman. It was the most difficult time of the Nollen's life, but they managed to get through it over the years.

"I just hope Trugly doesn't remember me. Obviously, I had broken her heart when I had to let her down easily." David was pacing back and forth outside of the Principal's office. Principal Castillo and Vice-Principal Trugly were having a discussion about the events that occurred last night.
