Corey didn't like it when Y/N was this quiet, the last time she was, she stabbed the four people who tried to talk to her. Not fatally, of course, but then again, nothing she ever did was with murderous intent, killing was just a normal part of life to her, which was what made her such a good assassin- most people were unnerved by the intensity of an assassins gaze, with their instincts telling them to run and hide. Y/N on the other hand, had a way of switching her presence on and off, one moment she was a wallflower, the next all eyes were upon her in fear. A true wolf in sheep's clothing, with the ability to pin her prey to the wall with a single look, but there was only one way to tell if she was using that look without being subject to it, and that was to listen, because that one look was worth a thousand death threats. Corey almost felt bad for the two metre tall yellow octopus who was planning to blow up the earth in march- which was a sentence he never thought he'd say.

"It's too quiet, what's going on?" Harvey approached him, looking much better after a shower- some people looked good even after days of travelling after a particularly gruelling assignment. Harvey was not one of those people. Next to him was one of the E-class assassins, clearly unnerved by the surroundings.

"Karma!" the boy exclaimed, waving to the redhead who was still standing outside Y/N's door

"Hey Nagisa, how was the climb up?" Karma snickered, the blue haired boy just rolled his eyes, clearly used to him by now,

"Fine, but what's going on in there? it sounds like Koro-Sensei's crying!"

Y/N had stormed out minutes ago, but clearly the octopus wasn't over whatever had been said, the whole union could hear him sobbing, and currently the only thing stopping them from coming up there and kicking his ass was the elevator shaft. One day they'd figure out that the code to the elevator was 1234, but not yet.

"Is he still in there?" Y/N had come down from the roof garden, looking at the open door to her room in disgust. Harvey and Corey looked at the now-crowded hallway and decided that the risk of social interaction was too great, choosing instead to go down a couple of floors and annoy whoever was there.

"What happened in there Y/N? Koro-Sensei looks really upset"

"It's none of your business Nagisa, turns out I knew him before he became.... that." the look on her face warned both boys from prying further, and in a flash of yellow the octopus exited, leaving them alone,

"Are-Are you sure you're ok now?" there was a long pause after Nagisa's question, before finally Y/N smiled,

"fine, Harvey's a genius with poisons, besides, I'm too much of an asset for the Union to lose"

"about that" Karma interjected, "I get the idea that they don't like us very much."

"oh, they don't, assassination is a very competitive field, and you lot are basically amateurs that just stumble around blindly hoping to kill a super-being. not to mention the fact that they don't like me being on the assignment either, normally I would take maybe two weeks to take out a target, sometimes it can only take 24 hours, but since I started this job, I haven't been able to take anymore side jobs, meaning the others have had to work twice as hard to meet the standards." she grinned at them, "anyway, I'm gonna go get ice cream, feel free to annoy anyone you want, they cant hurt you without pissing me off, so you're safe"

Y/N walked all over the town trying to clear her head, Koro-Sensei..... and the Reaper. they were like polar opposites, like the sun and the moon, like capitalism and communism, like.... like A-class and E-class. it was impossible.. no-one could change that drastically, especially not the Reaper, he was a cold, heartless bastard who-
