"I sat and stared at a picture of us for a long time. Thought about what I would say now that I have to say goodbye to you this way."

I took a deep breath. The memory of the two of us was too unbearable.

"You were my bestfriend, My angel, My wife and My mate. You are my everything and the son we have made will show me the way. It's his laughs that make me smile now. The little moments I find I treasure far greater. You've shown me what love looks like, feels like, tastes like. I'm in it Elizabeth. Forever."

My mind traveled to that morning she didn't wake. The morning that would be freshly engraved into my brain for a long time.

"I was terrified of losing you. I was right to be because you took half of me with you. The moment I realized you weren't gonna come back I broke in two. I'm left with only one emotion. Rage. The world wasn't ready to lose you. I certainly will never be able to let you go. Rest my love."

I ended my eulogy to my beloved.

The sins each sat front row while Merlin's staff filled the two rows behind them. Those girls were her bestfriends as well.

Victoria stood from her seat and made her way to me on stage. "I know.. how hard this is for you.. but may I say something about her?" I nodded and stepped aside for the redhead I once mistook as my dancer.

"Princess you were the most beautiful girl in our crew. Though you argued with me about it. I used to be jealous of you, of how you would light up a room. I was jealous of those tips too girl. Until you accepted some odd deal from a prince I had obviously wanted" She smirked, laughing with a few of the people in the crowd.

"You left with him but we always made sure to keep a spot for you.. Elizabeth you were that good. I'm gonna miss you most. I'm gonna miss dancing with you.. singing with you.. arguing with you but most of all laughing with you."

She nodded and turned to face what she thought was a resting Ellie in her closed pearl casket. The reminder of her disappearing body making me growl.

After a few others said their goodbyes we all lit a candle for her, leaving them on to burn out. I felt like I was moving all on autopilot.

Every smile was forced and every laugh was fake. My body hurt with each movement and my heart feels like its stopped beating. But I am alive.

I'm breathing.

"Brother.." Zeldris laid his hand on my shoulder. I leaned against the wall, not being able to break my daze entirely.

"Meliodas." I heard mom speak next. "Son you need to snap out of it." She pleaded.

"I don't want to feel anymore." My eyes connected with Merlin across from the room. I knew they had been watching me closely.

"Meliodas.. the Diety is here.. she wanted to say goodbye.." I began to laugh loudly and uncontrollably.

"She what?" My smirk widened.

"That beast put us in this situation to begin with. Who the fuck even let her in?" My hands trembled furiously.

"Meliodas that's her daughter." Mother tried to correct me. "She is not and the very messed up part about this is that I'm POSITIVE you guys knew. You lot let me meet her, let me fall in love with her and made me remember. SHE CAN GO TO HELL." I responded in anger, backing my mom up slowly towards the wall.

"Captain." Merlin butted in, Escanor right behind her.

Did I care?
Nah. Let's go get that bitch.

I stomped out of the room and made my way outside to face the wretched diety.

"Oh looky here." I say at the sight of her and Mael. "You're the idiot who was lurking around my lady huh? Mael?" I snarled.

She brought backup.

"You must have known I would be prETty pissed seeing you show up" my expressions not faltering.

"Demon. I see you have fully awakened from the death." Mael stood in front of her, guarding her restlessly.

"I'm not gonna kill you right now. I just buried my heart 6ft under so I'm gonna give you a warning you shouldn't take so lightly. Prepare yourself. I will end this curse your jealousy invoked and I will be the one to RIP each wing off your back slowly. It'll be the most delicious thing I have done since my first days. Understand?"

A crowd formed behind me consisting of the sins, my demon family and all the workers who had respect for MY lady.

"Not until I see your infamous son. He is my grandchild is he not?"

"Sins. Get them out of my sight." I took Tristan from Diane and walked away. "Zel. I'll meet you in the office tomorrow. Be prepared."

Before I could hear another word I disappeared.

"Now it's just us little guy.. don't worry I'll raise you right until mommy gets back to us. I'll keep the scary away, that old hag at bay and you safe..

Dad's just gonna need some help too"

The Diety made her presence know only because my love has been reborn already. She's sick to have done that so fast. Sick to make Mael force himself onto my woman. Sick to even believe she would ever choose him.

All just for her benefit of being a supreme ruler. With the control Ellie has that woman is sure to utilize her accordingly. She has the power to abuse Elizabeth if she wishes to and THAT would never sit well with me.

I made my way home with my son. I plan to be the best father I can be in the midst of all this.. he is the only being that matters right now. Until he is old enough to understand what has happened to our family.

That woman doesn't know who we are.
