Elizabeth

We gathered around the center table in the tavern, the sins bickering back and forth about how they would begin infiltrating the castle.

"Elizabeth where would the Deity be hiding? Would she expect anything? How fast do you think Mael will report back?" Diane, King and Gowther questioned me.

I didn't know how to react much right now. Their voices were in slow motion and my mind was sort of drifting off into space..I could feel Meliodas tighten his grip around me and that comforted me. I just need to concentrate on that. I've just started war.

Wouldn't be the first.

"She's reconstructed the basement.. her new lab and pass time with her beau The Professor.. she won't tell me his full name so it can't be serious" I explained. Mom had started dating him not too long after they infiltrated her first base. Something about him tickled me the wrong way though. When I ask her about him she just dodges my questions as if she actually is hiding something.

"Any hidden tunnels in and out through the basement then?" Ban questioned more gently than the rest of the aggressive group. "I can draw it out" I replied.

You have many talents that will prove useful..

Diane handed me a pencil while King managed a piece of paper. I closed my eyes and began to sketch out a blueprint of the basement tunnels as fast as I could. The pencil practically gliding across the paper like butter on a hot pan.

"Done." I looked up to meet the wide eyes of my current companions. "What's wrong?" I asked confused by their expressions.

"Nothing.. you just remind them of someone they used to know. She was crazy talented like you too." Meliodas replied to me with a warm smile on his face. "Right..."

Meliodas

I kissed her temple and glanced at everyone. "Gowther study the blueprint. We need to know if it's smarter separating or sticking together. Merlin and Escanor will remain outside. Merlin will cast a barrier surrounding the castle. No one in or out except for us. Escanor will be your backup of course. That leaves Ban, Elaine, Diane, King,  Myself, Tristan and Elizabeth..." I trail off as I quickly contemplated our roles.

"Those on defense should be King, Elaine, Elizabeth and Diane. On offense you'll have Ban, Tristan and Gowther alongside yourself Captain." Merlin chimed in to push my thinking along.

"Tristan should be in the back until it's time. If the Deity figures out who he is this will all be for nothing." Diane argued.

"I actually agree with Diane. If Tristan can truly control both light and dark— she won't hesitate on making him her priority instead of me." Elizabeth spoke up. How could I say no to his mother?

"Then it's settled." I replied. "So I just stand in the back with them until when? Will I have a queue?" Tristan appeared from his silent corner in the back of the room. "When I have her arms behind her back and she is on her knees begging for mercy" I answered instinctively.

"That's the plan then. Gowther ready yourself to project the path you've chosen for us and we will make our way towards the goddess kingdom." Merlin concluded the meeting while the rest of us stood up to gather our belongings.
