I paced back and forth in Emily's office, waiting for her and Rossi to show up so we could talk.

My dad, Cheryl, and Delilah were staying in one of the offices. I was glad that they would be safe here, but still very much worried about Diana and Spence.

Emily came back and closed the door behind her and Rossi. "What did he say?" I urgently asked.

"He says the lady that brought his mom in was Lindsey Vaughn. The girl from that case in 2007 where her dad killed the kid that took her. She was using the alias Carole Atkinson."

Lindsey Vaughn? I remember her clear as day. Mainly because early in our relationship, Reid told me it was after that case that he really started craving again. The fact that she could have caused this whole mess angered me.

"He got angry and started to freak out, begging us to find her and his mom. I'm worried he's not gonna make it to trial."

I sat down, putting my head in my hands. This was all so much and I just wanted all this to go away.

"So what's our next step?" Rossi asks.

"JJ and Walker are on their way to check out Cassie's apartment. Let's hope we can get some answers."

While the team scrambled to get answers, I felt completely useless. I couldn't focus on anything in that moment besides Spencer and what he could be going through. Emily came in at one point and explained that there were prisoners in his cell block that had been poisoned. "That's what he meant," I whispered.

"What do you mean?"

"In Spence's last letter, he said he poisoned the drugs. He was hoping it would keep people off of his back. If they are all better, they could find out that he did it and then they could hurt him and-"

"Ariel, relax. We're gonna fix this, okay? We are trying our damn hardest. Why don't you sit with Garcia for a while, see what you two can find out."

I nodded and made my way  to Penelope's office. She was hard at work, trying to dig up any information she could.

"I'm sorry I'm not being a big help. I should be doing more than just sitting here and crying."

She stopped typing and turned towards me, grabbing my hands. "Hey, don't you dare. We all understand how stressful this is for you. You are helping, you just don't realize that yet."

With a little more digging, we discovered that Lindsey had used another alias to rent a house across the street from my father's. When JJ and Stephen went to go investigate, they found Cassie's dead body, along with tons of pictures of Spencer before his arrest. My blood boiled when I saw that some of the pictures had Delilah in them. We determined that Diana had been abducted, with video evidence to back it up. This was just another stressful thing Spencer had to worry about. I couldn't even begin to imagine what was going through his head right now.

Luke and Walker had managed to set up a meeting with Jack Vaughn, while we managed to find the gun Lindsey was using in other murders along the border. She had been a cartel hit woman and was in Mexico trying to find the drugs Scratch uses.

Penelope had grabbed me and pulled me into Emily's office. She had told me what she found out about Spence and told me her plan. It hurt to hear, but I couldn't help but agree with her.

When Emily found us in her office, she looked confused. "Garcia, what's up?"

"Reid stabbed himself to get into solitary confinement."

"Oh, that's good. He found a way to isolate himself." I know Emily didn't mean harm by what she said, but it stung. The fact that he had to hurt himself in order to get some form of protection was just painful to think about.
