(A/N: The song that inspired this story. It's also my favorite Christmas song. What's yours?

Anyhow, thank you for patiently waiting for a new oneshot. I've had this story in my mind for quite a while, but never found the time to write it. Thanks to  for the prompt inspiration!)

Tick... tock... tick... tock...

The continuous drone of the analog clock filled the empty café. You clocked into work about an hour ago, setting up the tables and putting out the pastries for the morning rush soon to come. The smell of roasting coffee beans and freshly baked bread filled the small space. Wiping down the tables, you hoped today's shift would be slightly easier than the rest of the week's.

Winter had arrived in Seoul, leaving the city covered by a light blanket of snow. The bone-chilling cold of the season made it much harder to get out of bed. But as a struggling student no longer content with surviving on ramen, you made do.

The job itself was not so bad. Meeting new people while providing quality drinks filled you with a sense of pride. Sometimes, customers became frequent patrons; and some even friends.

A few months ago, someone walked through the door that would change your life...

~Flashback~

"Excuse me," an adorable female voice called out, getting your attention. You turned to see a woman walking up to the counter. She didn't look like the regular customers here. "What do you recommend?"

Her shoulder length auburn locks contrasted nicely with the pale skin tone of her face. She was not wearing business attire like the rest, and instead wore a navy blue sweater accented by black-framed glasses that were a size too big for her. She seemed to be a little different from the people you usually come in contact with here. And yet she knocked the breath out of your lungs.

And yet she knocked the breath out of your lungs
