summer was finally here. me and my bestfriend sara, had a whole day planned at her house. thinking of what we would do i receive a call from her.
"hey whats up!" i say answering the phone.
"just wanted to let you know that we won't be able to do all the things we had planned because my cousins are coming over" she said.
"oh no worries! should i still come over though?"
"yup! i'll wait for you here. are you almost coming?"
"yeah! let me finish getting ready and i'll be on my way."
— time skip to sara's house —
you knocked on her door. 'i wonder how her cousins are like' you thought to yourself.
someone opened the door. you looked up to see it was a boy with spiky black hair with hazel eyes. you guys stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds.
"uh is sara here?' you asked breaking the silence.
"yeah, she's over there watching tv" he answered. you found his deep voice really attractive.
"oh sorry, i didn't even introduce myself. i'm y/n, l/n." you said.
"no worries. um i'm hajime iwaizumi, just call me hajime"
you ended up having a few conversations with iwaizumi. plus he was really attractive. turns out you guys had a lot in common
"i'll be right back" sara said. leaving you and hajime alone.
"so what school do you go to" he asked you.
"i go to karasuno same as sara, what about you?" you answered.
"i go to aoba johsai, i tried convincing sara to go there but i guess she really wanted to go karasuno"
aoba johsei was one of the most popular schools in the prefecture. sara told you all about it. but you guys planned on going to karasuno since your first year in junior high.
"do you play any sports?" you asked.
"yeah, i play volleyball" he said while checking a notification from his phone.
"no way me too" you exclaimed. the thought of having things in common with him excited you.
"really? we should play together sometime" he said.
he wasn't really the person to express his feelings and you knew this because of the way he talked.
both of you stayed quiet for a while. but it was a comfortable quiet.
"hey would you mind giving me your phone number? you're really chill." he asked. shocked at the sudden question you hesitated a bit.
"uh, yeah! here" hajime handed you his phone and you put your phone in.

iwaizumi did the same on your phone. honestly you were happy he asked for your number, you enjoyed talking to him.
"i leave for 5 minutes and you guys already have each other's numbers? damn i ship it ig" sara comes in.
"shut up sara, i just asked for her number, i like talking to her that's all" the 5'10 boy said.
you blushed at iwaizumi's comment.
"see iwa you already made her blush, what more do you want?" sara teased you.
"why are you always such a tease sara?" you scoffed.
"i don't know guess that's just my personality. anyways, are you and your sister staying the night" she asked.
"well i mean it's pretty late already so i guess we're staying" he answered.
"y/n is staying too! so it'll be fu-"
"WAIT who said i was staying" you interrupt sara.
"me. i just did. you're staying" sara said.
"well... guess i have no choice now." you sighed.
it was around 12am and sara had fallen asleep but for some reason you couldn't go to sleep. so you decided to go get some water.
you were filling up your cup when.
"hey"
"fuck, hajime you scared me." you said still startled by the sudden sound of his voice.
"oh sorry didn't mean to scare you." he apologized
"oh no don't worry it's okay" you assured. "what are you doing up so late" you asked.
"i could be asking you the same thing" he replied.
"i just couldn't sleep for some reason" you said.
"yeah, me neither. how about we watch a movie so we get tired"
"YES!!" you exclaimed a bit to loudly
"god y/n shut up youre too loud"
you guys sat in the couch watching a movie. it all felt unreal. you couldn't catch feeling this quickly right? no you guys barely met. but i have a feeling he's the one.
