Hayden's P.O.VI woke up on Monday morning and sighed. I had to start my new school today and I was mentally unprepared.
I sat up and put my head in my hands. After a minute of silently willing myself to get out of bed I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and stood up.
The room that I had chosen was nice because it was far away from Ashton's room that was all the way down the hall. It was a big enough space and my boxes of all my stuff lay on the floor.
I got washed and dressed quickly, not really caring what I looked like. I just wore jeans and a flannel and converse. I always chose comfortable instead of trendy.
I headed down the stairs and into the kitchen to get breakfast. Ashton already stood there making coffee.
"Don't you look cute on your first day" he said and I glared at him.
"When are you ever going to go to college?" I said to him.
"I'm going to become famous, I don't need to go to college" he said
I burst out laughing. "You? Become famous?"
He scowled at me and pinched my arm.
"Wait and see" he said
"Yeah, I will" I said back as I poured myself coffee.
I hated to admit it to him but he was a talented musician and he could become famous if he really tried.
"Right, I'm driving you to school" he said after a few minutes and I groaned.
"Great" I said to him.

"Right get out" Ashton said as we pulled up to the school.
My stomach was a mixture of nerves and fear. Right now I was going right back to the start of everything. Here nobody would know me and I would have to try extra hard for people to like me.
"Fine" I grumbled as I took my school bag and opened the door.
"Good luck shit head" Ashton called after me.
I slammed the door and I could see him laughing as he pulled away. I stood looking at the school building for a couple of minutes and then sighed, deciding to go inside and accept the fact that I couldn't escape this.

I walked to the small office of the school to get my new schedule. I pushed open the small door and stepped inside. It smelled weird in here, like burnt paper. I wrinkled my nose and walked over to the counter.
There was already a student at the desk so I waited behind him.
"Thanks Sarah" he said, I could detect an Australian accent off him.
"No trouble Calum" the secretary said as he turned around.
I stared at my feet and I felt him hit my shoulder.
"Sorry" he said, not looking up from the paper he had been given.
"Its okay" I mumbled as I stepped up to the desk. The door closed as the guy walked out and it just left the secretary and I alone.
"Hi" I said to her and she looked at me oddly. "I'm new"
"Yes!" She said as recognition came over her face. "What's your name again?"
"Hayden Irwin" I said to her and she smiled as she brought out a file and handed it to me.
"Class schedules, timetables, maps the whole lots there" she said.
"Thanks" I told her
"Its a small school so you won't get lost" she smiled.
I returned her smile weakly and took the file off her. I turned around and walked away, wanting nothing more than to run all the way home.
