Chapter 14 "Mother does not know best"

The water was clearing up and the path had more light, regina and swan had it all working out well so far. The plan was simple and easy, she spent the whole night thinking and changing the plan over and over. It's settled, this time no one will stop swan and regina from their happy ending except maybe a selfish husband and evil mother. It's early morning and cora can't shake the feeling that there's something not right about princess emma and prince killian. She expects some news from robin, he promised cora to find out more on the royal couple and he certainly succeeds. Cora knows almost every royal family in the enchanted forest and she's never heard princess emma and prince killian. Robin arrives at cora's thinking room, it's were she keeps all her spell books, hearts etc. Robin has a face with news "well cora dear I have succeeded and your not going to like these news" he says handing cora a crumbled old paper. As soon as cora sees the old paper her expression is thrilling she cannot believe what her eyes witness "told you" robin confirmed. Cora crumbles the paper in her hands with anger "this isn't good, she's a threat to me now" Cora thinks of a solution as she picks up her spell book. Why was swan a threat to her? Flipping the pages of her  spell book with rage "what are you going to do cora?" Robin asked, cora puts down the book "what I always do" that evil smirk says it all. Regina is ready to escape into the woods to see swan just like old days. She opens her door slowly checking if the cost is clear, she bites her lip as she slowly walks thru the hallways. She had a simple red velvet dress and her hair in a side ponytail she almost tip toed so her heels wouldn't make any noise. Almost thru the door "where do you think your going without having breakfast with us?" Cora appears behind regina startling her "come on dear let's head to the dinning room" Cora grabbed regina by her arm forcing her to join her for breakfast. Family reunions at the dinning room are never fun, such a silent and awkward gathering but regina was always forced to join them. Regina takes her seat and only has some fruit and water as all she wants to do is leave "where were you going with so such a rush?" Cora asked curiously "just.. out" regina pauses in her answer she can't help it to feel nervous when her mother questions her. Regina mis places her fork because of her nerves the fork falls to the ground making a loud noise "are you ok my love?" Regina's father asked "yes I'm fine" regina immediately confirms and tries to calm herself down. "Has everyone packed there bags yet?" Cora asked "bags?" Regina looks surprised "when are we leaving?" Regina continues. Cora and robin look confused wasn't she the one who wanted to leave already? It doesn't make sense to any of them "we leave in two days" Cora confirms "did princess emma and prince killian buy the castle already?" Regina asked "no and I don't think they will" Cora answers. What is going on? Now nothing makes sense for regina "I'm confused" regina murmured "that girl princess emma, she's a liar and a theif" Cora says with a wicked tone. Regina's thoughts go wild as she feels more frightened "what? Thief? Why is she calling her a theif?" Her mother is such a despicable human being she never has something good in her mind "what do you mean? Did you know her before?" Regina humbled. This can't be good cora is surely planning something evil towards swan "your asking too much questions, why do you care?" Cora yells "because with you there's never nothing good to come" regina yells back. Cora stands up furiously and slams her hands on the table "how daré you raise your tone at me" the yelling continues "I'm your mother" regina stands with rage as well "your everything but a mother" regina exclaimed as she runs her way out of the dinning room. Awkward! Robin and henry sit there speechless, cora sits down her face was so red it looked like it was about to explode. Regina stops running "how does she know swan?" Regina couldn't leave the castle until she found out how her mother knows swan. Cora makes her way to her room and robin follows her "you need to calm down cora dear" robin suggested "No!" Cora yells "she's rude and she needs to be punished" she continues.  Regina hears her mother yelling in her room so she hides behind the door hearing everything clearly "you need to concentrate on your latest prey" robin continues. Prey? Oh no this is not good "your right, her elimination must be soon before they leave" Cora demands "just like her parents?" Robin says devilishly "exactly". Regina's face immediately expressed terror, she could feel her vains boil up and her eyes filled with fear. Cora killed swans parents? It doesn't make any sense why would she? Regina's runs out the door staright into the forest to look for swan. Her feet stumbled of how fast she was running, the thought of loosing swan again haunted her mind every passing second. Regina makes it to there meeting spot and swans not there yet "swan?" Regina yells with fear "but she's supposed to be here already, I'm late for our meeting" regina looked back and fourth looking for swan "Swan!" She yells again "regina" a man's voice startled regina. Killian appears "swan wants me to take you to her hiding place" he explains, regina looks confused as her mind is still concerned after what she just found out. She follows killian towards the abandoned palace swan and Killian have been staying "I'll leave you two alone" he departs into the forest, regina walks in calmly she tries her best to not seem freaked out to not worry swan. As she walks in and sees a path of petals of red roses on the ground, regina follows it slowly as she starts blushing. The path leads to a room filled with every flower in the forest, from daisy's to red roses to lilies all of regina's favorites "regina" swan appears from across the room. Swan runs towards regina carries her and spins her around like a little girl, regina's dress flowed in the air as swan spined her around they both giggle with happiness. Swan stops and looks up at regina "do you like your surprise?" Swans smile weakens regina "very much" she blushes. Regina's arms around swans neck "I love you" swan still carrying regina "I love you too my queen" this moment was too perfect and a sweet kiss sure made it even more perfect. Swan puts regina down "I know it's not as perfect as your garden but.." regina interrupts swan "it's perfect" regina smiles "here I have something else special for you" swan pulls regina but regina stops her "wait I came here to warn you and we need to escape now!" Regina's says with a rushed tone "whoa! what? Why do you say that?" Swans now concerned. Regina has trouble saying the truth "it doesn't matter we just need to leave now" regina demands "I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on" swan can play that demanding tone as well "regina you need to trust me, tell me" swan says now with a more serious and calm tone. Regina holds both swans hands as she spills the news "my mother she wants to kill you" swans eyes look confused "what? Why? Did she find out about us?" Swan asked worried "no its not that, I don't know very much details but she murdered your parents". This is more complicated than swan thought, the plan swan had in mind just crumbled into pieces her mind sets off blank now she doesn't know what to do. Regina's eyes fill with tears "we need to leave now before my mother finds you and kills you" regina cries "the thought of loosing you is destroying me inside" regina continues "no that's not going to happen". Swan picks up regina's face with her hands on her cheeks and wipes her tears "it's going to be fine I promise" regina holds swans hand and bumps her head against swans "I can't loose you again" regina wraps her arms tightly around swan "you won't my queen". Swan wanted to take regina the right way but cora just made things worst, swan was not willing to risk her happiness to fight cora. Escaping the castle was the only way, running away again but this time regina had stronger magic so that could be helpful for both of them. Fear not as they were both smart enough to make this happen, let's see what plan they come up with to escape regina's mother.
