Chapter 47: Counting The Days

[The Next Day: 1 of 7]

Alex slowly sat up on his bed and yawned before going quiet, trying to digest the situation on last time.

'Otto said to go check on what's changed for the Valkyries. Well, might as well go see them if I look around the city.' He thought to himself.

After getting himself ready, he got left his room and the apartment complex as he began to make his way to the city, more specifically the downtown area.

As he made it there, he wondered where to look first and decided to head into the mall hoping he'd find someone.

Sure enough he did as he saw non other than the red head herself, Murata Himeko standing at an outlet with a man next to her.

Alex automatically assumed that this was her boyfriend as in the previous reality Himeko had whined about not having her special one at her age whenever she was drunk.

'So, this is Himeko's idel life. Spending time with her loved one. Something she's wanted for so long.' He thought to himself.

"Hm? Oh Alex dear. Nice to see you." Said Himeko as she caught glimpse of Alex as he walked up to her.

"Talk about a coincidence. It's been a while since you last saw my darling husband right?" Asked Himeko with a smile.

"Nice to see you again Mr. Mustang. I hope your memory of me isn't hazy." Said the male.

"What're you talking about? Of course he remembers you. What with all the bragging I've done about you being my one and only." Said Himeko.

Alex could tell that Himeko was absolutely loving this reality, this dream of her's coming true, but, he had one priority right now and that was to save Kiana at all costs.

"Is this everything you wished for?" Asked Alex which got Himeko confused.

"Hm? What I wished for? Well, if you wanna put it like that then yeah." She said.

"Do you prefer things this way?"

"This, way? I mean, both you and my darling are here, and everything's going great. Its definitely better than the alternative when I was, wait. I...."

Similar to what had happened to Yae last time, memories of the previous reality began flooding into Himeko's mind as she couldn't get it to stop.

"Just keep thinking about that. Okay?" Asked Alex.

Himeko, already having her mind flooded with strange memories only nodded as she and her husband walked off deeper into the mall.

'It seems I managed to get 2 of them. Time to get the others.' He thought.

Doing the same routine as last time, Alex was already outside the apartment and pondered on who to find next, more accurately, where to go next.

After mulling over it for a bit, he decided to go the Lastation Plaza to check as it was a popular tourist destination.

He walked his way over there and as usual, he saw it was packed with many tourists and civilians.

After looking amongst the crowd for a bit, he caught glimpse of Bronya and Seele walking together.

Alex walked up to them until they noticed him.
