Chapter 52: New Found Resolve

[The Next Day]

Morning had arrived.

To begin the day Alex and Yae decided to accompany one another as they went to a nearby cafe to have a quick breakfast.

As they made their way over, they were approached by K-423.

"Um, uh....good morning." She said a little quietly. ".....I'm, sorry. I can't believe what I tried to do to you two. I genuinely cannot apologize enough for what happened."

"Don't worry Kiana. There's no need for apologies." Said Yae. "More importantly, how've you been? Do you still have full control over Void?"

"Physically, I'm fine, and Theresa was able to calm down my core helping me regain control. Mentally though, to be entirely honest, I'm all mixed up." She said.

"Are you sure your okay?" Asked Alex.

"My memories are still pretty fuzzy and I haven't really processed everything yet. I'm going to need a little time to myself to think things through. I need to figure out what to do with myself from here on."

With that, they bid each other fare well as Alex and Yae went to the diner and had a quick breakfast as later that day, they were all gonna have a meeting aboard the Hyperion in the afternoon.

[TimeSkip: Afternoon aboard the Hyperion]

Sitting in a round table the group were ready to begin on what they were gonna do for the next three weeks before Kevin came by to give them one more chance to accept his reality.

"This outcome entirely relies on what we want to choose as our own path." Said Alex.

"We have to choose our own path, eh?" Said Theresa. "Grampa Otto had mentioned that we needed to determine what we'll do from here on out. It seems he was right."

"We can't accept this reality, but....that means we'll have to fight Kevin, right?" Asked Mei.

"That's right." Said Yae. "We have to confront Kevin and take him down to restore reality back to normal. In a way, it's business as usual. Take down the bad guy."

"Kevin Kaslana may be holding everyone hostage under his reality as well as us, but, he gave everyone as well as us our perfect lives. His intentions are far from evil." Said Rita.

"I admit, this is definitely way tougher than any villains from the past. Kevin is simply wanting the best for everyone, as well as eliminating all of the Honkai." Said Yae.

"He's good at heart." Said Mei.

"Regardless, it's obvious of what we gotta do." Said Himeko. "Your all right. Kevin isn't some typical bad guy. There are probably plenty of folks out there living all happy in this reality. Who knows? Maybe Kevin Kaslana's actually doing the right thing, but, we all still feel like this reality's wrong, right?" She asked. "We decide what's right for ourselves. That was what we all agreed on when we went after Alex in the palace. If taking down Kevin fixes our reality, then I'm gonna do it."

No one had expected Himeko to speak for that long as she immediately noticed it get quiet.

"Uh, so.....somebody, say something." She said.

"Apologies. The Bronya was thinking on how right Major Himeko is." Said Bronya.

"So we're going to take down Kevin to acquire the reality we believe in." Said Theresa with a smile. "That doesn't sound bad at all."
