Of course, I knew life was unfair. All through my life, bumps came up in the roads I tried to go down. But that's just how it went, no one said the real world was easy. Either way, you have to push through hardships to get what you work for. That's all there is to it..that is..if you didn't let emotions get to you. A friend of mine once said he didn't have what it took to be a hero, but in my eyes, he already was one. Now don't get me wrong, heroes can be the guys with flashy smiles, bright capes, and superhuman gifts..but they can also be the people that..just sit down with you. A shoulder to cry on. A light in the dark tunnel. That's what Shota Aizawa was to me. My hero. All I have ever wanted was for him to see who he really was to me. Who he will always be to me..

It had been years..since I've been home. Home where my life began and I met some of the most amazing people in the world. Home where..so much happened that I wanted to forget. And I left it years ago..I felt like this would be better for me. To get away, to leave the life I knew behind. However a part of me knew I was running away, rather than leaving willingly. All that aside, I was back. Back home. A few days ago, i received a phone call from a friend. Toshinori, or better known as the infamous All Might. Number one pro hero of Japan. Toshinori and I met years ago when I was in my early twenties. I worked at a small cozy cafe and Toshinori came in almost every other day. We talked briefly but eventually we learned we had a lot in common. We became close friends and enjoyed each other's company. That was back before I moved to Hosu City. It didn't seem far, but it far enough for me to get away from everything. Toshinori began to explain his reason for calling so randomly, he understood I worked as a nurse but was let off a few days ago from my hospital job and was looking for work. I had ranted to him about it the day I came home from being laid off. So, he suggested I come home and fill in for a position to be the Second nurse for UA. Principal Nezu said Recovery girl needed the extra set of hands due to all the powerful quirks the students had. It resulted in much more injury this year, and they could really use the help. I..accepted, I needed the work. Even if it meant coming back home. At least Toshinori seemed happy about it.

With a small huff I unloaded the last bag I had brought with me out of the rental car. I peered up at the tall apartment complex and sighed. I was finally back home, yet..I couldn't help but feel a small ounce of..anxiety. After about 20 minutes of getting all my luggage into the apartment I rented, I flopped onto my bed. A loud sigh escaping between my lips..slowly my eyes drifted to the large window in the room. I sat up and kicked my shoes off, gazing out it. The night sky was lit up by the moon, but the stars were never visible. Too much light pollution...but it still looked beautiful. As I sat there looking out at the vast sea of brightly lit buildings..my mind wandered to the last person I wanted to think about..Shota Aizawa. Years have passed since I've last seen Shota. I wondered if he still remembered me.. after all this time..shaking my head I ran a hand through my hair. Cursing myself for even thinking about him. He didn't deserve the space in my mind..I had better things to worry about. Tomorrow would be my first day as a nurse at UA. With that thought in mind, I fell asleep.

The next day finally came around and I was prepared. I dressed in a white button up blouse and some black pants, with black dress shoes. I wanted to make a good impression. When I arrived, the first thing I was met with when I entered the front doors was a loud yell. Immediately I covered my ears and dropped the purse I was carrying. The yell being loud enough to make my ears bleed.. Looking up I was met with a familiar energetic face.

"H..Hizashi?"

The smiling male immediately closed the few feet that was between us and engulfed me in a large hug. His hair poking me in the face as he lifted me up and spun me around.

"YOU'RE RIGHT ABOUT THATTTT, ITS SO NICE SEEING YOU AGAIN (Y/N)!!!!!"

I squealed and let out a small whimper at how tight he was hugging me. The air escaping my lungs.

"I-it's nice to see you too H-Hizashi. Now please put me down.."

He realized how tightly and how he was holding me up in the air and quickly set me down. With an apologetic smile he rubbed his neck and chuckled.

"Sorry, I was just excited to see you again. All Might told me you'd be working with us!"

I smile gently, the thought of my friend, Toshinori making me feel more at home and relaxed.

"Did he now? Perfect. Anyway, I didn't know you were a teacher Hizashi. Guess we'll be working together from now on."

I offer a gentle smile and Hizashi gives me a wide grin in return.

"Yeah! Guess who is a teacher? Nemuri Kayama or well, Midnight! And guess who else is a teacher? Sho-"

His words were cut off by a hearty laugh filling the hallway. Suddenly some sort of figure had zoomed in front of Hizashi and I, sending a strong gust of wind in our faces.

"(Y/n!) your finally here!"

I'd know that voice anywhere...Toshinori. Looking up I saw he was in his, All might form. Big and muscular with a unfading grin. I laugh and my facial expression brightens. I bring my old friend in for a hug.

"Toshi! It's so good to see you again."

The taller blonde male gave another hearty laugh and hugs me tightly. His muscles moving smoothly under the hero outfit he wore.

"Same goes to you! Now we have much to discuss! But, class is about to begin, and I'm leading the students to combat training. I'll speak with you soon!"

He raced off and left Hizashi and i to look at each other, we both held in our laughter.

"His voice is always so- Mighty"

I say with a smile, Hizashi bursts into laughter and I join him...but suddenly a voice cuts out amongst our laughter. The voice deep and tired.

"I'm trying to sleep, whoever is being disruptive, you should know-"

The voice stops mid-sentence..it sounded familiar... My head turns and I'm met with the sight..of none other than Shota Aizawa. Head peaking out of a large yellow sleeping bag, his lips parted with eyes looking both shocked..and confused. His hair was sticking out every which way and his eyes looked so tired and exhausted. Finally, the rooms silence was broken with words from the dark haired male, cocooned in his sleeping bag.

"(Y/n)?"
