Suspicions

The mysterious man came back. But this time his face isn't covered anymore although his face was a bit blurry. I saw him across the burning halls of the room. Fear mixed with anger started to take the best of me. I stared at him, then he moved and out of nowhere the room was engulfed in eerie darkness. I couldn't see anything, I couldn't even move a single muscle. My whole body froze.

Then I heard the floor boards creak. I can't see anything but from what Im hearing, I know he is making his way towards me.

"Face me, you coward!" I shouted at the darkness hoping a voice would answer me back.

"You could have stopped him, but you were just too weak. Now, Im gone because of you." A familiar voice came out from the emptiness.

D-dad?" I stutter as the voice was too familiar "I-- Im sorry, I didn't know what to do" I said to the voice.

Then out of nowhere a man stood behind me, and whispered: "You knew exactly what to do." Followed by that was fires lighting up the whole room.

I saw my dad's face being held up by the man, blood was still running down his face. I can see in his eyes that he was crying for help, as much as i wanted to run to him, I couldn't. Every fiber in my body was frozen.

"Let him go!!!" I shouted to the man again. It was all I can do, to shout and hope that the man would listen.

The man gave me a scary smile. The type which gives you nightmares. But it wasn't enough to scare me off. Until, he raised his hand and there formed a dark orb. He slammed his hand into my dad's chest. My dad screamed, and I can hear pain in every shout.

The man removed his hands from my dad's chest, and in his hand was a bright ball of fire.

I looked down back at my dad and.... he was pale as snow. He looked like all the life in him was sucked out. Then he fell the floor which caused a series of deafening echoes across the room.

I tried to run to my dad but I still cant, my feet were stuck to the ground. I couldn't just stand here and do nothing. So I kept on moving which caused nothing to happen. I was so angry and all I can do was to shout

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I shouted to the man, still staring at me.

"Cant you see, boy. He's dead. All because you were too useless. You killed him." The man tried to reverse the situation.

Rage then started to fill my entire head. I can feel scorching heat escaping at the tips of my fingers. Then, all of the sudden I can move again. I started to run to the man with my shaking feet. I was meters away from him and I was prepared to hit him with all my strength. Then he swiftly moved his feet and stomped hard to the ground. Fire immediately devoured the whole room. I felt it burn my skin, I was being burned to death. Then the ceiling collapsed and fell to me and

BANG!!!!

I woke up in a hospital bed. It was just a nightmare. But wait, why am I in a hospital. I looked to my left and I saw Aira sitting at the side of my bed, and to my left was Avisa lying down on another bed.

Aira saw that I was awaked and immediately asked for what seemed to be a hundred questions.

"Iggy! Ayos ka lang ba? May masakita ba sayo? Gusto mo tumawag ako ng tao dito? Dapat nagpapahinga ka pa, bakit nagising ka na? Binangungot ka ba? Tawagin ko mama m---"

"Mama. asan siya?" putol ko kay Aira at nilagpasan ang mga nauna niyang tanong.

"Nasa labas, kausap si mama." Sagot ni Aira sa akin.

Sinubukan kong umupo sa kama kaso bigla akong pinigilan ni Aira dahil dapat nakahiga at nagpapahinga lang ako.

"Eh si papa? Asan siya?" tanong ko nang maalala ang panaginip ko.
