Officer Titus Brook knocked on the door and went inside when a voice granted permission loudly. Ben Walker sat in his study, well dressed and ready for the day, before him sat Private Detective Jeremiah Scott, and it was as they conversed that Titus entered. Ben sighed him to sit and Titus sat with a smile.

"Welcome Officer, is there any developments to hear about," Ben asked.

"We've the investigation undergoing, we've been searching some places but we've no success finding your wife yet, I've come now to ask some more questions."

"I was expecting that answer," Ben said with a mock, "Well, I'll be needing to have wait for an eternity for you guys, I've answered over 100 questions over the weeks. It's two weeks now."

"I apologize for causing you inconvenience, but it's part of the procedures and we're doing our best, soon enough we'll solve it."

"I've no further time for you, but since you've come, you can ask your questions and leave, we're having an important talk going on actually." Titus recognized Scott, they had met before on a case some years back; Titus looked up the questions and chose the one question he'd written, the only one. Letting out a deep breath, he put forth the question,

"Sir, did your wife get admitted in the Two Ray Hospital just a week before her missing? Also, did she get a suture on the forehead, a deep cut, 7 stitches; all of these without any records in the Hospital's Log?"

Ben became a little disturbed, he asked Scott to leave them alone for some time, once Scott left, Ben prepared himself an answer, licked his dry lips multiple times before he finally replied,

"I...She fell from the stairs....slipped. The doctor was a family friend of mine, he usually comes home for any medical emergencies, that day, he was at the hospital for a training and it was all his decisions actually, nothing to do with me."

"So why was this not told to us during the interrogation? You didn't even give it a mention anytime, even be it that we didn't raise the question."

"You answered it yourself, it was never asked and I didn't think about telling that as it may have nothing to do about her disappearance."

"We can't decide what has to and what not has to do with the disappearance. Well, thank you sir, we'll get in touch with you soon; also you're prohibited from leaving the town until the case is closed. You're officially a suspect now." Titus quickly left, not allowing Ben to ask any questions further about him being included as the suspect.

Mark Walker looked from his window and watched the officer walk back into his car, then dive away. It's been two weeks, Mark was still not able to choose between mom and dad.
