The Girl Who Cried Darkness

Sammy was the only survivor from the Dark Woods. No one knew how she survived or how she got there in the first place. All anyone knew was she was there and she didn't want to ever go back there. The things she has seen has traumatized her to the point of depression. Jake was the only one who was actually there for her. He helped her get out and is still helping. Most people bully her because she is the only one to survive saying things like "Are you our new savior Sammy. Because why would God ever care about a worthless piece of shit like you." And no one but Jake would talk to her to avoid the association to a "crazy".

Sammy has not been the same since the incident, and why would she. She looked death in the eye. "Jake come on this seat isn't getting any warmer," she said as she patted the seat and flipped her long, flowing blonde hair. But as Jake sat down his vision cut out and all he could see was darkness and one tree. As Jake turned around he saw one bright shining light and in the middle was none other than Sammy, but why? When he came to it Jake was on the ground with Sammy looking at him confused as if Jake had levitated off the chair and onto the ground. But what Jake did not know was not only had he levitated off the chair, but also in the air.

How did it happen? Nobody knows but the one, Darkness, but she was nowhere near him. She was still in the class room yelling and causing a stir that was not needed. What Jake did know was that everyone one in the cafeteria was looking at him as if he pulled off a magic trick and didn't know it.

"Was that real or is there something in the food," said one kid to her friend.

"I don't know, but however he did it, it was either cool or weird," said the other.

"Well, then both!" said the friend.

Everyone laughed and looked confused and amazed. Jake walked right out as people were asking him how he did it. And all he said was he didn't know, magic.

When it was all said and done everyone in the school knew about Jake's scene. But it wasn't taken as if he were a freak, but as a "legend". No one would ever think twice about who Jake was but this 15 seconds of fame would come and go and Jake did not like it. Everyone made the biggest deal about it and asked him to do it again. And it somehow ended up on Youtube, how he did not know. People were calling it a fake so that was good, but with all of this attenion people were wondering if it was faked just so Jake could get attention.

As Jake was walking down the hall Sammy ran at him as if he had taken the last piece of pie in the school. "What the hell Jake? You walked out as if I wasn't there," she screamed as she stopped right next to him.

"I wasn't even thinking about lunch I needed to get out of the noise," Jake said as if he could only think about going home. "I'm sorry I couldn't hear you with everyone shouting in my ear."

"It's.... o.k," Sammy said disheartingly as if she was shot down.

As Jake reached the doors to the outside Emily ran for him. "Jake wait up!" she shouted as if he was going to walk out on her.

As Sammy saw Emily she screamed like there was no tomorrow. As if she had seen a ghost she fainted with her last word being "Darkness".

"Well then," said Emily as she stepped over the unconscious Sammy and tried to pull him out the door. Right then Jake pulled out his phone and dialed 911.
