'It was her, but how was it her. She had only been in my dreams. I don't get it, how was Darkness really here.' Jake thought as he was getting his books in order. 'What would happen next, I'm gonna see the boogie man and he's gonna want to be best friends. No this can't be happening she must be a figment of my imagination.'
"Ummmmm, excuse me if you don't mind me asking, but what is your name?" Jake asked stuttering while trying not to be correct on who it is.
"You should know by now Jake Dark not to ask so many questions. But if you must know, my name is Emily. Emily Shadow." The misterious girl said as she walked away.
'How did she know my name? And why she helped me? I don't know, and I don't think I want to. I just need to get to class now.' Jake thought as he saw Mr.Burns standing at the door with that creepy smile of his. Just as Jake thought it was Mr.Burns who opened the door and hit him, but why?
"Mr.Dark, still a clutz I see. Now would you like to join my class or would you like to stand out there and just be another one on my detention list." Mr.Burns said with the most serious face he could make without laughing about what he had just did.
It wasn't ever day that some one would actually help others in this school. Everyone was too afaid of Mr.Burns to even help. The last person before Emily was some kid named Billy who somehow dissapeared just days after he helped. It was like anyone who showed a bit of hope or even a smige of joy was to either dissapear or hopelessly get lost in the woods that are now forbiden to be treded.
"Y...e...s sir, right away." Jake could only muster out those words as he walked into the class to see people trying so hard not to look at the embarisment that just happened for the fear of them too to dissapear. It was like ever since Mr.Burns started working here the dissapearences of teens and kids only grew.
As the class went on, Jake got worried. 'What if the only girl who would actually help people would disapear like the rest?' Jake thought as Mr.Burns yelled his name.
"Mr.Dark would you like to answer the question, or would you like to just sit there and join the rest of these slackers? Maybe that would give me an even better reason to fail you, not just because I don't like you, but also because you are nothing special. You are like the rest of these people, a person who only exsits on this world because they were given pitty and place in this hell hole." Mr.Burns yelled, and he kept going, but Jake didn't listen because he was deep in his own thoughts.

After class, Jake walked toword the cafeteria only to see her again. Emily was sitting alone and no one seemed to notice her, or they felt like it was usless because she'll just disapear. But Emily didn't mind it, all she was doing was paying attenion to Jake, and she would not break her gaze. It was like she knew something was going to happen that he didn't know. Just as Jake was going to walk up to her when he was stopped. Someone walked in front of him, but when he looked back she was gone.
Just like that she was there and then gone. Jake took a double look, but she was still gone. The disapearence was nothing new, but it happened at school and not at the Dark Woods. Jake wondered 'Was she ever really there, or was she justa figment of my imagination. Maybe, just maybe.'
If only Emily was actually at the cafeteria, and not in Mr.Burns room.

"Why am I here and not out there? I should be watching him and not talking to you. He is the only one to actually help with our quest." Emily yelled at Mr.Burns as if the whole world was in an uproar.
"Because Darkness, or should I call you Ms.Shadow," he said with the most amount of sarcasim he could, "if he were to know who we are or what we are, then he would know how to help them and not us. The Proficy said that one person must choose between Hope or Darkness. He has to chose you Darkness, not her. If he does chose her then it is all over and all of this would be for nothing. Would you like this to happen?"
" NO! But what else am I supose to do in there. All I could do was to watch and hide while he dreamed. Nothing else, I got bored and hated it. So I left the forest for now. I'll be back there when I'm done, but until then, why are you making him hate you, when you should be making him your pet?" She screamed back as if everything he said hit her in her heart.
"It is who I am. It is kinda in the name. But I don't care if he hates me, I'm getting him to hate the world. To sacome to the Darkness and leave any hope he has left behind." He said in the most modest tone he had so that the principl wouldn't here. If he got involved all hell would be raised if he knew what Jake was. Literaly raise hell. The last time he got mad they had to start anew with all new identites and eveything, even a new home, The Dark Woods, where no kid dares to enter.
"Should I get Him, or would you like to contine? You could always EXPLAIN you plan before you exicute it. You should know who you work with." She blasted back at him. She knew his last thought and also feared Him. It was like he was going to attack whenever he heard his name. He didn't want people to know it for the reason that they wouldn't trust him. But today he was the last of there worries. They had to worry about Jake not Him.

"Jake, Jake sit by me. I saved a spot just for you. You look a little lost, did you lose something?" Jake's best friend, Sammy, said. She was the girl who had been there for him from the begining and they practicly grew up together.
"Yea my sanity, as usual. But what else can you expect when we live in Helslip." Jake joked as he walked toward her.
