As Jake enetered the school he got this erie feeling, like someone or something was watching him. "Hello, hello. Who's there?" Jake screamed down the empty hall. "If anyone's there you can come out. I'm not going to hurt you." He kept yelling, but no one answered. As he walked down to the hall a little bit faster, he heard footsteps behind him. The noise of those steps kept getting louder and louder. Jake kept running until he made it to his locker. "Who's there? I now you're there. I just heard you behind me." he said scaredly as he opened his locker and heard an answer.

"Mr. Dark you finally decided to show up. Maybe you can grace my class with your pressence." Mr. Burns, the teacher with a horrible skowl that could make a kid have nightmares for weeks, said to Jake as he walked out of the class room and to Jake's locker. "Another day, and no big surprise, you are late. Maybe you can muster up an excuse by the time you get your books to my class room." Mr. Burns sarcastically said as if he knew what the reason was going to be already.

"Yes sir, but it wasn't my fault sir." Jake shakingly said as if he didn't know what Mr.Burns was going to say. How could this day get any worse, it felt like the whole universe was against him.

"Well then who's fault could it possibly be? No one's, Mr.Dark, now would you like another guess on who's fault it really is...... nevermind just hurry up!"

'Why doesn't he just stop with the attacks on me? Is this how he spends his days, figuring out how to ruin my day? The least he could do was cut me some slack, I mean it was like he wanted me to fail at life and never get past this whole torture fest we call school.' Jake thought as Mr. Burns started to walk toward the door of the classroom.

This whole event felt just like a bad dream, but it was real. Seriously, what was wrong with this day. First the dream before he had to get up. Then the whole thing with the weirdness at the house. Lastly, the whole event with being watched by nothing. What the heck is going on?

"Are you going to hurry up, or would you like another Saturday detention, Mr. Dark." Mr. Burns yelled while slamming the door shut like he wanted Jake to be in the halls alone. It hadn't been the first time Mr. Burns felt like Jake deserved to be in detention. Almost once a month Jake would miss the bus and Mr. Burns would give him detention. It only got worse and worse when Mr. Burns got into trouble with the principal about handing out detention slips for no good reason. Then again Mr.Burns did see every kid as an abomination to the world and must be punsished for their existence.

As if this wasn't bad enough, Jake saw a flash of emerald out the corner of his eyes. He jumped back with books in hand, slammed the locker, and rushed for the door of Mr. Burns's classroom. As he reached for it looking back the door swug open and hit him smack in the face.

'Who opened the door?' Jake thought almost as if he didn't know.

"Hahahahahahahahahaha" the kids of the class started to laugh at him as Jake lay on the floor of the hall with all of his books and papers scattered all across the floor. As he thought no one would help him, scared that they would get in troble also, some one in the hall helped. But this person was no ordinary person, it was her, and he knew exactly who she was. Did the rest of them know though?
