As I stepped out of the bus, the school appeared in font of me.

“Welcome to Francis Archer Academy Adie…You don’t mind me calling you Adie?”

“No it’s cool. It’s a better nickname then some of the other things I’ve been called.” My eyes don’t move off the huge building. “Its so big.”

The building look old but at the same time modern because of all the building work that had obviously taken place. There was a tall, thin flagpole as tall as the academy and at the top was the academy’s flag flowing in the wind.

“You must be Adrian Reynolds.”

I snap out of my daze and turn to see a middle aged man with a bad comb over of what was left of his hair, with bags under his eyes and a forced unnatural smile.

“I am Mr. Tanner, Vice Principal here at Francis Archer Academy. Welcome” He drops his smile that seemed to be hurting his face and cleared his throat. He turned to Marco “Mr. Jones. Isn’t there somewhere else you have to be? Like your classroom?”

“Sorry Tanny, I was just heading there…” Marco turns to me “I’ll see you later, yeah?”

I nod and he leaves in a hurry up the steps of the academy, leaving me with this Mr. Tanner.

“I’ve been instructed to take you to the Principals office.” I stared at him confused. What had I done? I only just arrived at the academy. He gives a slight chuckle at my perplexed expression. “You’re not in trouble I assure you.” He tuned and started to make his way to the main entrance of the academy, I slowly follow behind him but not before noticing that everyone was already in the building and the front courtyard was completely deserted.

The academy was mind blowing! Every classroom I managed to see into was packed with the most up to date technology. In some classes they used iPads instead of books. I then understood why this place was so exclusive that they had to invite you to go there. Then we came to a stop outside the Principal’s office. It was one of those typical offices that I had seen on T.V and in films. Asecretary was sat behind a high desk, talking on the phone to someone trying to get ahold of the Principal.

“I’m afraid he’s in a meeting at the moment and will contact you when he is free. Thank you for calling. Goodbye.”

She hung up the phone followed by a sigh. She then turned her attention to Mr. Tanner and myself before smiling sweetly. She doesn’t say anything; she just nods her brown bob hair to the door to the left of here. Mr. Tanner opened the door and ushered me inside.  Once inside he promptly shuts it behind me leaving me in the well-furnished room. I walk in further and come face to face with my reflection. I look at my scruffy uniform and quickly decide to neaten up before I meet this Principal. While grooming myself I didn’t notice the dark figure of a man standing behind me. I turn and come to see the man.

“Mr. Reynolds. Are you quite done checking yourself out in the mirror? My name is Raymond I prefer Ray Knight, Principal at Francis Archer Academy. Welcome, take a seat.” He walks over to his desk and gestures to the chair in front as he sits in his own chair that suggested his position in the school. “I’ve been expecting you.”

As I walked over to the chair and sat down I thought hard because I swore I had seen him somewhere else before.

“You must have some questions, but answer one of mine first.” I nod. He leans forward resting his elbows on the table.

“Do you really know how your farther died?”

WHAT??
