                                                                                                                    Ashley's POV

I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I'm in his bedroom, snuggling his stuffie, swinging on his swing thingy. I don't know why I'm freaking out so bad. He's just a normal boy, right? I can't help but get up and start looking around more. Probably moving stuff I shouldn't be, but I'll put it back I promise. I start hearing footsteps walking up the stairs so I hurry up and run back to the swing and watch the tv again. Lucas walks into the room with a tray of snacks. I look up to see apple slices, macaroni and cheese in a cute baby bowl, some orange juice in a sippy cup, and of course some big kid snacks for him. I immediately get excited and hear my tummy start to rumble.

He sits back down next to me and I start to dive in, he looks at me kind of in shock, and also like he's dissapointed. "Now sweetheart, that's not how you're supposed to eat. Slow down please before you start to choke," he says wiping my face off just before he starts eating his own food. I pout but also blush and start eating slower, becoming invested in the tv. I find myself kicking my legs back and forth as I drink from my sippy just after finishing my food. Lucas gets up and sets the tray of empty plates and picks me up off of the swing. I look at him confused just before he sits down on the swing and sets on his lap.

I start kicking my feet again, but not too hard so I don't hurt him. I can feel him looking down at me but I pretend not to notice and snuggle into his chest. He wraps his arms tightly around my waist and kisses the top of my head. I feel a blush spread across my cheeks. Why does he make me feel like this? All full of butterflies and warm inside?

                                                                                                                   Lucas' POV

Why can't I just buck up and ask her already?  I start to play with her hair and try to form the words in my mouth but nothing comes out. "Hey Ashley?" She looks up at me with her big doughy eyes, and I can feel myself growing more and more anxious. "W-would you.... like to color with me? I have some Disney coloring books and crayons." Ugh, you were so close! Come on it shouldn't be this hard. She nods her head excitedly and hops off my lap and onto the floor in front of me. I smile and stand up, walking over to my closet to grab the supplies. Maybe I don't have to ask her in words, maybe I can write it. Perfect, make it a cheesy love note, that'll win her.

I set everything down in front of her and sit across from her. I grab myself a marker and a blank sheet of paper I found mixed in the bunch of books, and start writing. 'Ashley, the way you smile melts my heart. The way you can't be without your paci in the car makes you even cuter, which I didn't think was possible. I'm really bad with words, if you couldn't tell already. But, would you make me the happiest man, carer, bubs, daddy in the world, and become my sweetheart?' I finish writing and a sigh of relief escapes my lips. I fold it up, into a little origami heart. and slide it in between the pages she's coloring. She looks up at me confused and grabs it. My heart starts to flutter and I find myself twirling my fingers as she starts to unfold it.

I really hope she says yes...
