His Little Mermaid

Chapter 6

Ashley's POV

It seems like the end of the period came way too quick. Next thing I know, the bells ringing, and me and Lucas have to go our separate ways. He was mainly the one who talked all period. Just made me blush like an idiot and go into mega little space the whole period.

I learned a little bit about him while he wasn't calling me adorable pet names. Like that he's actually been a caregiver for a few years, but he's never actually had a little before. I told him about how Alex has been my caregiver since I moved here, because he's the only person I've ever trusted about it.

I also learned that he's been sorta crushing on me ever since school started, which made me blush like crazy when he told me. I still don't know how I'm going to tell him about my, well you know.. But that's definetly for another day.

I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket as I sit down at my last class. I take it out once I set my things down and of course its from Lucas.

LUCAS: Heya pumpkin. I really enjoyed talking to you today. Maybe we could hang out today after school at my place? My dad will be gone so we don't have to worry about anyone listening.

I sit there for a minute a little dumbfounded at him actually wanted to see me outside of school. I don't even know what to say. I've never hung out with a boy, at his house, alone, except for Alex but this situation is a lot different.

ASH: U-um yeah sure! I'll meet you after school :)

Wait.. am i actually doing this? I mean, it should be fine right? I think I'm just over thinking everything. I mean, all we're gonna do  is talk. Maybe I'll be able to open up to him more. I mean, obviously I won't spring the whole I'm secretly a mermaid thing cause I wanna wait and see how this goes before I go showing my big secret.

After School

I start getting more and more nervous as the last bell rang. I don't know why I'm so nervous. He's just a cute boy who wants to get to know me better. I stand by the door of my last class hoping that Lucas will come find me.

I look around and see him walking toward me and I start to blush and look down at the floor. Once he gets up to me, I feel him lifting my chin up with his finger and he kisses the top of my head slightly.

"Ready to go sweetie?", he asks softly and I nod as we start walking toward his car. I start getting more and more anxious and I think he can tell because he reaches down and grabs my hand. I smile and blush and he opens the car door for me and shuts it behind me. I instantly reach in my bag for my paci, but I stop realizing that I'm not with Alex like I normally am.

He looks over at me in curiosity but then turns his attention back to the road. I start fiddling with my fingers before I decide to say screw it and take my paci out. He takes one hand off the wheel and puts it on mine after I put my paci in my mouth. I smile and bring my legs up to put them in a criss cross position.

I hear him faintly whisper to himself as I wiggle around, "God you're adorable", I blush hearing it and hide my face a little. He squeezes my hand a little as we pull up to his house. I get fidgety again and he giggles softly. He gets out and runs to my side to let me out. Such a gentleman. I get out and follow him into his house.

This actually isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I feel my phone vibrating in my pocket and I take it out.

ALEX: You're welcome honey ;) have a great time, and I love you <3

I blush and roll my eyes at him.

ASH: Love you too brat

Of course this was his idea. Why wouldn't it be? But I mean, I guess all I can do is thank him. I mean he is the one who's actually helping me getting closer to Lucas. And I really think I'm starting to like him. I really hope he's feeling the same..
