Lucas's POV

I walk into my first period really dreading today. And honestly, the only part of today I'm looking forward to is seeing her. I don't know what it is about her, but I really like talking to her. I just hope she feels the same way about me.

It's almost halfway through first period and I keep checking my phone and texting Ashley every now and then. Everytime I call her a cute pet name I can just see it through the phone how much she's blushing. The daddy in me tends to shine through sometimes and I wonder if she even knows it.

Next thing I know, the bell rings and I'm off to the rest of my classes. Lunch time arrives and I stand waiting in line. I just happen to look over in the doorway to see her waiting on what I think is her friend Alex. I see them sitting together all the time, joking around and being playful. I think I might try and sit with them today. I feel like I need to get to know the true Ashley, hang out with her more outside of texting.

Once I get my lunch, I make my way to Ashley's table and feel myself getting more nervous with every step. Why an I getting so nervous? She's just a normal girl. Right?

I feel like theres a lot more to her then just a simple, ordinary girl. I see a sweet, loving little girl. A princess waiting to find her prince charming...

Ashley's POV

Crap crap crap! Is he really coming over here? To m-my table. I slowly start freaking out and reach into my bag for my stuffie and hold it close. Alex can see me start to freak out and he grabs my hand. "It'll be alright pumpkin," he says rubbing his finger along my hand. I nod and Lucas sits down somewhat next to me.

I look over at him and smile politely and he smiles back at me. He looks down at my stuffie and smiles at it and I blush deeply. "Awww who's this little guy?" He asks scooting over toward me a bit. I blush and look down a bit. "H-his name is Coconut" I stutter out and he holds his hand out as if to ask to see Coconut. I nod and hand him to him.

I look up at him and Alex rubs my back. I see Lucas playing with Coconut and I smile. "He-he's like a comfort thing. I carry him with me everywhere," I smile and let go of Alex's hand, starting to feel more comfortable. Lucas smiles at me and hands back Coconut and I start to play with him more.

Next thing I know, the bells ringing and it's time to go to 6th period. All three of us walk out together, and head to our classes. I give Alex a hug before he walks off to his class, and me and Lucas walk into our class together. I head toward the back of the class where I normally sit, and to my surprise, Lucas follows me, and sits down next to me. I get all blushy and look to the front of the class.

We have a free day today so me and Lucas have been talking the whole period. He continues to call me pet names and I start to slip into little space, and I start chewing on my thumb. I look up at him and I know he notices me, but I can't help it. "Its alright little one, I know exactly what's going on. And I'm okay with it," he sort of whispers in my ear and rubs my knee.

I blush deeply and nod my head. I play with Coconut and he kisses the top of my head. I never expected him to be the kind of person to know what I was, but I guess you never know. And I'm happy that he knows. I think this will be good for me.
