"So tell me about yourself, Shirley Temple." Harry asked through the phone. I put him on speaker and walked around my aunts kitchen looking for some breakfast.

"Let's see.." I start thinking about what to say while also getting eggs out of the fridge. "My favorite color is green, I'm a late sleeper but I love to wake up early, My favorite food might be carrots, I'm named after the moon, and I'm a dog person," I say knowing that the last part will be crucial to our friendship if he disagrees. But the only thing he says is:

"Why?" I frown in confusion.

"Why what?"

"Why everything. Why is your favorite color green? Why do you like to wake up early? Why are you named after the moon? C'mon Shirley Temple when I say tell me about yourself I mean tell me about yourself."

"Why do you want to know? Are you going to stalk me or something?" I laugh while taking him off speakerphone and bringing my now finished breakfast into the guest room. I sit down on my bed and take a bite of my food. I tell Harry how I like the color green because there are so many different types of green you can see in one day. I tell him how I like waking up early because the world is so quiet and that carrots are my favorite food because I've never had a bad one.

"So why are you named after the moon?" He asks. I sigh, putting my fork down and moving my plate to my nightstand.

"My parents met at night-time," I say. "They met while they both were studying abroad in college and they were the last two in the library." I grow quiet, not sure if I should continue or not.

"You alright?" Harry asks, breaking what were about to be deep thoughts.

"Yeah it's just a touchy subject, my parents aren't on the best terms right now and it makes me nervous."

"If they divorce you mean?" He quickly responds.

"Yeah I mean it already feels like it because they both travel so much but I think the idea that they can easily return to one another and we can return as a family just gives me hope that it won't happen but.." I trail off and I hear Harry sigh through the phone.

"Well, my parents divorced when I was younger," He starts. "And even though in the beginning it was hard to get used to, they were both still there for me. Even if they weren't together, I still knew I had both of them to go to. That's not the case for all divorces but just know that it's possible." I smile as his voice softens. I can almost picture the soft green eyes and a cheeky smile that I just met last night.

Somehow in a span of 12 hours of meeting him, I opened up to him more than I did with most people.

It's not like I didn't have anyone to open to, I had my parents who I was close with in different ways, I had friends but the more my parents traveled the harder it was to see them and I just eventually started to give up. I just didn't see the point. Now that I've met this cheeky boy from Holmes Chapel, maybe that'll change.

"So now are you going to tell me why the hell you're a dog person?" He asks, making me gasp in fear.

"Don't tell me you're a cat person?" I put my hand over my mouth, scared of what he's about to say.

We talked for about an hour. He told me about his mom and his sister, how he works at a bakery, and that his favorite color was a light blue.

"Are you still in Holmes Chapel?" He asked me in the middle of our conversation. I looked at the time.

11:30. Perfect.

"I am," I say. "I leave in five days."

"Well we better make those days worth it. Would you happen to be wearing suitable clothing to leave the house?" I laughed and looked down at my sweatpants and a baggy shirt.
