Bruce's POV one year later
"Master Bruce, there's news of Fallen angel and Joker downtown, they're waiting for you." Alfred spoke. I had almost given up hope on finding y/n. There hadn't even been as much as a word about her or the Joker in almost a year. I thought for certain they had killed her. But why would they stay in Gotham if they had.
Maybe whoever Fallen Angel was, was jealous of y/n for having the Jokers affections before her. I could use that against her.
I quickly turned on the news. Sure enough the cameras were all pointed at the two villains dancing in front of all the large screens downtown that played what looked like a live stream of y/n, bound and gagged to a chair. The two of them dancing as if at a ball.
I could have thought it was an old video, but she did look older, her hair longer and definitely not exactly how I had seen her the last time we had spoken.
She was still alive.
Time skip
"Parties over." I yelled as I dropped down in front of them as they stopped dancing. "Give me y/n Wayne and this can all be over.
"Oh I uhh don't think so." The Joker spoke slowly. "Not until you take off that mask of yours, not until all of Gotham knows who their Dark Knight truly is."
I shook my head. "Not until I know y/n is safe."
Fallen Angel rolled her eyes and pulled out her phone, that's when my attention turned to the screen above them.
A phone rang out on the video and a masked thug came into frame and took out her gag.
"PLEASE HELP ME!!!! ANYONE PLEASE!!" And the gag was put back in her mouth.
"Let me talk to her!" I snapped.
"Tut tut tut." Fallen Angel wagged her finger as she circled around me. "That wasn't the deal. You take off that silly little mask and she goes free."
"He'll never love you as much as he did her you know. The Joker and y/n Wayne were together once did he tell you that?"
She stopped behind me, standing on the edge of the building, her heels hanging off slightly. "In fact I did." She giggled. "And it's not wise to try and use that logic with the woman holding the detonator to the bomb under her chair. You're familiar with my work correct?" She cocked her head holding up a small remote.
I didn't have much of a choice, I ran for her, holding her by her throat as she held onto my wrist leaning over the edge.
The Joker smiled and tried to run to us. "I wouldn't get any closer." I spoke, causing the woman to lean further over the edge.
I felt the vibrations of her laughter on my palm. "I thought ya didn't kill people Batsy, yet look at you now. Threatening to kill me."
"Go ahead." The Joker snapped. "Let her go." He said nonchalantly.
"Do you hear that?" I snapped at the woman. "He doesn't care about you. Tell me where she is and I can get you help, he'll go away, you can still get away." I tried to reason with her.
"So many promises. So many threats. Don't you know it's rude to lie Batsy?"
"DO IT!" The Joker yelled.
"If you're gonna promise a girl with a fall this great it would be rude to disappoint." He eyes left mine and went over to the Joker. "See ya round sugar." She winked before pushing herself from my grasp by kicking herself free and falling.
That's not what I wanted. I didn't want to kill her, I didn't want her to fall. In a desperate attempt I tried to grab back at her, but the only thing my hands got was a small chain that had been tucked into her shirt causing it to break away from her neck.
