The Last Two

Chapter 3

"Amaya!" Nova shouted as she walked into the room. I looked at her, but she starred at Acer who was sitting ever so close to me. She cleared her throat and glanced at me, giving me the 'who's that hot thing' look. I starred at my lap for a few seconds and i could feel Acer shifting his hand on my waist. "Nova, this is Acer. You might recognize him. He is the one who led us to our room." I finally said. "Well damn, you're truly something" she said looking at Acer. He smirked and said "why thank you". I giggled at Nova's remark. "Why did you leave me?" Nova asked looking at me. I didn't know what to say, since i didn't intentionally leave her.

"I needed to talk her, sorry about that." Acer said to Nova. "Look, some guy told me that Amaya and I were the last two females on earth. He's clearly stupid, but what are we doing here ?" Nova said to him. He chuckled, and replied " unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you take it , that is true. " i chuckled and rolled my eyes at his raw humour. He told Nova, what he had told me but more firmly and to the point. He hadn't mentioned anything about how i'm more "stunning" or "mature" , but he did tell her that if she ended up having a spouse it would be very good for her safety.

Nova seemed like she was clearly interested in Acer. She wanted him, but something inside of me really wanted to tell her to back off. In fact, Nova and I are twin sisters. Though we look nothing alike, we were born on the same day, month and year and we shared the same parents.

Nova has had much, much more serious relationships than I had. But this time, i was ready to beat her at her own game.
Nova and Acer spoke for about 5 full minutes while i sat in silence, with Acer's hand still restfully touching my waist. I wanted Nova to see, so she knew that he was interested in me and not her, so shifted slightly towards her, trying to expose where his hand rested.
Acer seemed to notice and while they were speaking he put his hand on my thigh, fully exposing his affection. Nova noticed immediately and gave me a jealous look, i could finally feel good about myself.

After they had finally finished their talk we just sat there in awkward silence. "Do you two want to grab some food?" Acer said finally breaking the quietness. Nova and I both shook our heads and we left the room, entering the loud chaotic diner.
He gave us both plates full of food and cued Nova to go somewhere else. Acer and I sat on a couch and exchanged smiles. He stared eating right away, i waited a bit and then nibbled a bit of rice. " i want to" Acer said randomly. I knew it. He wanted to have sex with me. He wanted to manipulate me. "What?" I asked firmly. "I want to start a relationship with you" he replied. A relationship? To be honest, i wanted everything to do with him. He's everything a woman would ever want. "What kind of relationship?" I asked. "A proper, serious relationship. I know we just met today, but it would be great if we started as a couple." He said. I really liked the sound of that. The fact that he wanted me, as much as i wanted him. But i didn't want to be used. I don't want him to use me for the producing of children, i don't want any man in this place to use me or Nova for anything in that sort. Not now.. At least. "Well?" He questioned, breaking me out of my thoughts. " i guess.. " i finally said. He grinned, exposing his pearly whites. "Great" he said , happily.
