Imagine going Christmas shopping with (adult) Jess.
Anna carried around a few different outfits as she scoured the walls of closes in Justice, looking for gifts for Doula. Jess followed close behind her with hands full of bags from different stores in the mall, most of the other guys in the store looked irritated or bored but Jess hadn't complained once. He just happily followed his fiance around, admiring her as she carefully looked for the perfect presents for the boy's little sister. He couldn't help but smile everytime her eyes lit up when she found something and then gushed about how cute it would look on the 7 year old girl. He couldn't wait to see her make that face every time they went shopping for their own kids one day.
Anna carried everything to the checkout, grabbing a huge stuffed cat at the last minute, the cashier just smiled and rang it up for her. Just as she was about to pick up the bags Jess stepped in front of her and took them, "You need those hands to grab things, I've got this." Anna went to open her mouth and object, "No buts except for your butt walking out that door so we can move on to the next store, move it." Anna huffed but was grateful and made her way out like she was told, Jess hot on her heels as the cashier giggled at them.
They split up so that Anna could go to the food court and place orders for them while Jess went back out to the car to drop off the bags he currently had so that he'd be able to carry more later. Jess came back not long after to her sitting in the middle of the food court with a sushi platter and two boba teas, sipping at hers patiently. He chuckled when he saw the girl grimince, meaning that she got one of the boba balls in her mouth which she despised the flavor of. He made his way over to the table and sat opposite of his girl, happy to be with her again.
Jess went to grab a piece of sushi only to get his hand smacked, he looked up at her with a look of mock betrayal. Anna just rolled her eyes at the boy and passed him a pair of chopsticks, "I'm pretty sure we aren't in the dark ages any more Fred Flintstone, adapt with the rest of society!" Jess smirked and took the chopsticks from her, finally picking up the piece of sushi from before, "Whatever you say Shifu." She narrowed her eyes at him and used her chopsticks to pick up a piece of sushi as well, "This is not Kung Fu Panda and even if it was I would be Tigress and you would be Tai Lung." Jess pretended to be offended, "No fair, tigers are bad ass!" She threw her hands up, "Are you kidding? Snow leopards are way better, tigers are basic!"
They laughed at each other and Anna took another sip of her drink, relieved it was only tea this time. Jess studied her for a moment, "Why do you drink boba if you hate it so much?" She knitted her brows at him, "I don't hate boba?" Now it was his turn to furrow his, "Yes you do, you cringe every time one gets in your mouth!" She unknotted her brows and rolled her eyes with a smile, "I don't hate boba I hate tapioca." He ate another piece of sushi, "That's the same god damn thing!" She shook her head at him, "Nope, they make fruity syrup boba too." He rolled his eyes at her, "Then why don't you get the fruity boba?" She shrugged, "They don't offer it here and it probably wouldn't even taste good with the tea." He shook his head at her with a smile, "You're a piece of work." Anna smiled at her fiance after taking a sip of her drink, "You know you love me." He smirked back at her, admiring her for a second, "Yeah, I do."
They finished their lunch after about half an hour, just enjoying eachothers company. Afterwards Anna drug Jess to the pet store that they had in the mall to look at the puppies, a guilty pleasure of hers that she happily indulged in every time they went to the mall. Jess held her from behind, arms wrapped around her waist while she played with a small german shepherd puppy. He knew then that he'd have to get her one for christmas, he knew they weren't ready to raise a kid yet, but a puppy they could do. He'd have to go out tomorrow and pick one out from a pet store in Hartford then ask Luke to watch it until the special day.
They spent the next few hours going from store to store, making sure they had a present from everyone and then shopping for each other, after that the both decided it was time to head home as it was getting late and neither of them enjoyed driving in the dark. When they got home the sun was starting to go down and they still needed to get dinner so they decided to hold off wrapping presents for tomorrow.
I hope everyone enjoyed this christmas special! Merry Christmas!!!
