Imagine going to New York to confront (teen) Jess after he left Stars Hallow.

The bus ride felt as if it would never end, all she could think about was how mad she was at her boyfriend for leaving without even saying goodbye in person but also how desperately she had missed him. She hated buses, she thought they smelled funny and always felt like she was being watched but it was worth it if it got her to the Big Apple. Jess didn't like to talk about New York but the one place that he had mentioned was Washington Square Park, all she could do was hope that he would be there. She didn't have enough money to get a hotel room, only some enough to get a bus ride back and some extra money in case she got hungry or saw something she wanted.

When the bus finally arrived at this destination she was more than happy to get off of it and leave that funny smell behind. She pulled out a little envelope that held all the notes Jess had written to her inside of it, they ranged from simple greetings to playful joshes at the girl to heartfelt letters. With one look at the stuffed and distressed paper wallet she remembered just why she was here, she had to find him. She asked someone for instructions which were kindly given to her, the girl clutched the packed envelope to her chest as if she was a scared child hugging their stuffed teddy to their chest for comfort. She walked the forgin streets, worried that she might lose her way and never get to see home again.

Thankfully she found her way to the park just fine by following the instructions that the nice old man had given to the girl who quite obviously had distress clouding her eyes. When she saw a head of familiar raven locks she couldn't decide whether she wanted to kiss him or kick him, she was currently voting for the latter. She stuffed the envelope back into it's designated pocket and walked up to the boy, snatching his book from his hands and closing it. He was mad at first, looking up to see who it was but smiling once he recognized his girlfriend. The look on his face almost made her feel bad for what she did next. Almost.

She took the boy's book and smacked him in the head with it, "Stupid!" He winced a bit, "I deserved that." She wacked him again to get her point across, "Stupid!" Jess winced again, "Okay, that's starting to hurt now." She picked the book up to hit him again but he snatched it from her, "Would you stop that, please?" Once her anger had been wacked away it was traded in for sadness causing her eyes to water as she looked up at the boy who was a whole head taller than her. It didn't take long for the tears to start rolling down her cheeks causing Jess' eyes to soften with sympathy and guilt.

Jess wrapped his arms around the girl and as much as she wanted to push him away her body acted for itself and melted into his chest. She sobbed into his shirt and balled her fist in frustration, "You left me." He shushed her shaking figure and rocked it gently, "I know, I'm sorry baby." The pet name seemed to make her cry even more, "You left me and you didn't even say goodbye!" His eyes started to water too, he hated seeing her cry and what he hated even more is that he was the reason she was crying. They stood like that for a good while, Jess letting the girl cry out all the tears that she had been holding in for a week, pretending she was alright so none of her fellow townees would pester her.

Laughing at herself she pulled back and looked up at the boy, "You know the first thing I did when Luke told me that you left was go out and buy a bunch of stuff to write you letters because I know you like those," she said and pulled the envelope full of letters from her back pocket and showed it to him. A light blush took over his cheeks at the fact that she actually bothered to hang onto the stuff he wrote for her, a pang of guilt striking him in his stomach and making him feel uneasy. She felt like crying again but didn't allow herself to do so, "God Jess you didn't even give me an address or a phone number or anything, you just left me sad and clueless and thinking that I did something to mess us up so bad that you wanted to move all the way back to New York!"

He wanted to apologize again but he knew it wouldn't do anything for their current situation, so he decided to focus on the more important aspects of her being here, "Did you tell anyone that you were coming here?" She nodded to confirm the question, "Yeah, my dad said it was fine as long as I paid for my own transportation." Jess hated the guy, it was like he didn't care what the girl did as long as it didn't concern him in any way. Jess nodded and took her hand before they started walking, "Let's get out of here." She furrowed her brows at the boy in curiosity, "Jess, where are we going?" He smiled and kissed her on the back of her hand, "You're going to meet my mom and spend the weekend with me."
