Imagine trying jam out to Lost In The Wild with (young adult) Jess while you work on your latest drawing and he reads a book but you both wind up dancing instead.

Anna and Jess were in the apartment above the diner, spending their afternoon off relaxing together. Luke didn't live here anymore so he let Jess and I live here as long as we worked at the diner during the week. The area where Luke's bed once was got transformed into a study for Jess to work on his writing and Jess' old single bed was replaced with a king sized one, aside from that not much changed. Anna laid on her stomach while she drew a picture of her fiance and Jess used her butt as a pillow while a reading one of the books she recommended to him, A Murder for Her Majesty by Beth Hilgartner.

Lost In The Wild by Walk The Moon played on their radio, electro wasn't Jess' normal taste in music but he knew you loved it so he listened to it anyways. Anna hummed along quietly until the song started, "Eyelids split at sunrise, morning breaks like splatter paint." Jess put his book down and listened to her sing, "Wipe the dust from my eyes, you must have left before morning came." He smiled and climbed out of the bed, offering you a hand which you gladly took.

Jess pulled you off the bed so that you could dance together while you sang along to the lyrics, "Flashes of the night come rushing in, in a stampede of misbehaviors." Jess pulled you close and sang to you, "Just a sophomore running my mouth, I really thought that I could save us." The two of you just let the chorus play in the background while you enjoyed each other's company.

And we're only animals

Didn't mean to start a forest fire

Brush the ashes off your shoulders

Let's get lost in the wild

We're all built for something

Trying to find a starting line

Don't look over your shoulders

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild

Jess started singing to you again while holding you close, "Something shocks my muscles, hard rain backhands my senses" He looked deep into your eyes, loving being so close to you, "Now I'm flying fast on my feet, skipping rivers, clearing them fences." You started singing again, "I'm tracking you into the city. Ooh, under the pressure of the traffic lights." You smiled up at the raven haired boy, "I'm chasing the clues you left me, that you might still join me in the wild."

And we're only animals

Didn't mean to start a forest fire

Brush the ashes off your shoulders

Let's get lost in the wild

We're all built for something

Trying to find a starting line

Don't look over your shoulders

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild

Jess spun you both around while he sang to you, "Scratches on my hands and feet, you belong out here with me." He smiled and cupped your face with his right hand, the other holding your hip while both your hands rested on his chest, "Tearing up my hands and feet, you belong out here with me." He pulled you in for a kiss which you gladly returned, your bodies fitting together like two perfect puzzle pieces.

You belong out here with me,

I'm flying fast on my feet.

And we're only animals

Didn't mean to start a forest fire

Brush the ashes off your shoulders

Let's get lost in the wild

We're all built for something

Trying to find a starting line

Don't look over your shoulders

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild

Let's get lost in the wild
