I got her a cage and all of the essentials for the bird while the worker got the bird and put it in a travel box for us to take it home as it chirped loudly because it didn't like the darkness inside of the cardboard box so Sophie being Sophie decides to open the box so that 'Olive' won't be scared which causes the scared bird to go quickly flying around the shop as everyone tries to catch it.
May 2, 1971
Sophie's POV.
I watched as my daddy, the Memphis Mafia, and the pet shop workers tried to catch Olive which wasn't an easy job because it was a big shop and none of them could fly.
I remembered seeing a boy with his pet bird on a cartoon that I watched with daddy and Lisa.
He held his finger out and whistled for the bird who went straight to him and used his finger as a perch.
I decided to try what he did and sat the box down, holding out my pointer finger before whistling for Olive.
Within moments Olive was flying to me, landing on my finger with ease.
Everyone looked around for Olive and it was Lamar that noticed that the bird had been on my finger, pointing it out to my daddy and the other guys in amazement at how the bird had just went to me without any training or treat.
Once my daddy seen that I had Olive he tried to explain that Olive had to be in his box before we could leave and I nodded slightly, definitely not happy about it because I didn't want Olive to be sad like he was the first time.
Elvis' POV.
After I explained to Sophie that Olive had to be in his box before we could leave Lamar put Olive into the cardboard box as he squirmed and pecked at his hand which made Sophie upset because she didn't want Olive to be stuck in the box since he wasn't happy in it.
After a few moments Lamar had the box closed which was almost completely dark on the inside besides the light that was in the box from the air holes.
Since Olive, Sophie's bird, was going crazy in the box I had Lamar carry the box so that Sophie wouldn't accidentally drop it.
