Dear Reader,
This short story is loosely based on the Navajo Indian cultural beliefs and traditions. However, I've taken artistic license with this piece, so it is purposefully not 100% accurate; Native/Indigenous people, please do not tear my head off. I've thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Navajo culture and traditions, and even though I already knew this, my research affirmed that Natives have a beautiful way of life.
