The whole chapter is basically Error procrastinating. It jumps around quite a lot, so I apologise about that.
Chapter 1.
Waking up with new abilities, a new form and his memories regained, as well as being able to return to his past form – from before everything went wrong – and new information being fed to him in the form of codes. . surely this was a good reason to go on a destruction spree, right? Right?? Definitely not because he got angry trying to decide wether to return home or not.
.
.
As much as he wished he could go back home, he couldn't without risking the safety of his brothers. So with his new knowledge and abilities, he switched back to his.. old Error form and checked which AU was next on the list, making sure that no out-codes or abnormalities – that shouldn't be there – are there, before opening a portal and stepping through.
The snow made contact with his shoes, sounds of crunching snow echoing out into the clearing he had stepped into. Already knowing it was a copy, Error had no qualms with how he went about this – unless it was a HandPlates AU, Error could never understand why the inkblot created AUs like those, – so he sends out his strings, them having almost a life of their own as he – through the strings – looked through every crack and behind every corner, tying up monsters as he went. Not before long, his strings held the entire population of the underground – apart from the Sans, his strings couldn't find him, meaning the Sans was in the Judgement Hall – up high, ready to dust the souls at the flick of his wrist.
He needed to kill the human and get their SOUL to the anti-VOID first though. With a tug on his strings, the SOUL of the human – and the human – was brought to him. Easily killing off the kid and sending the SOUL to the anti-VOID he looked up at the strings holding the monsters, before flicking his wrist and turning his head to the ground – he never did like to watch anyone dust right in front of him. – He did a shortcut to the Judgement Hall, expecting the Sans to be there. As expected he was already there, sitting on the ground seemingly already knowing who he was – Ink must have informed this AU about the multiverse, then. – The Sans looked angry, but didn't put up much of a fight. Error felt the need to say sorry to them and with him being sort of lost in thought, he ended up saying it. The Sans seemed to be taken aback by the sudden apology, as he was about to retort how that didn't change anything, he paused and took a good look at the Destroyer, only now noticing how haggard he looked.
"Ah-. . you don't. . . want to destroy, do you? Is it. . similar to a job for you? Like it is for Reaper. . I see. No one has actually ever taken a good look at you, ever. Have they?" He didn't get an answer, but the look on the glitching skeletons face told him everything he needed. The Sans, understanding what the Destroyer needed to do, gave up his SOUL rather quickly. Just starting to dust off, he noticed the look on Errors face changed, so he grinned. "Don't worry too much, I'm sure the rest will understand with time."
.
.
Error could only hope that would be the case.As the dust of the Sans fell to the ground, he shook off his clothes and checked the next AU on the list. He wanted to return home, but as Error, he learned that it was close to impossible. The only way he could return, was if everything calmed down – and for that to happen, he needed to destroy quicker, or get through to Ink, – which was also, nigh impossible. Error opened the portal to the AU and destroyed the code to the copy, then stepped through and started the process over again. He swore he could hear something right before he closed the portal, but eventually he shrugged it off as it wasn't bothering him. Eventually getting lost in his thoughts as he went about destroying, he entered a trance of sorts. Error being lost in thought, didn't notice how quickly he went through the list of AUs, nor that Ink had been trying to catch up to him for the last hour. Then again, being snapped out of your thoughts because there were no more AUs on the list to destroy might be a pleasant surprise. Having Ink catch up wasn't as much of a pleasant surprise, though watching him be exhausted and trying to catch his breath was evening it out a smudge.
