Iruka Umino's POV
" That's all for today's class everyone. Dismiss."
I said and the kids cluttered, getting and fixing their belongings as they started to leave.
At the door, I saw Genma-san seemed to be waiting for me.
" Genma-san.."
I approached and expressed politely.
" Thanks for the hardwork Iruka-sensei." Genma-san replied.
" Do you possibly have an order for me? "
" Ah no, I was just actually passing by when I spotted you and thought I should tell you that Naruto was back from his mission. That's all. "
Genma explained nonchalantly as my eyes glow up from being glad.
" Really?! Then I should go greet him ! Its been awhile. I expect he must be missing to eat at Ichiraku so I should treat him as a reward for his hardwork. He's been out for a month now. Thank you so much Genma-san!"
I gladly uttered as Genma smiled and said,
" You're more like a father than a teacher to Naruto, Iruka-sensei."
And I smiled hopelessly.
" Well, although he is not my student anymore. Even though he's quite growing strong day by day... but his recklessness doesn't diminishes! Naruto is still a kid! So I still want to look out for him. Heheh" I explained,
" Yeah, it's not like it's a bad thing to
dote on your student, we all have our different favorite people though. If it makes you happy to take care of Naruto then do so. "
I felt a turmoil in my mind rising up, I slowly bowed my head unconsciously.
Am I too much ? I know Naruto is growing up but it doesn't calm myself since I know, Naruto is still poor in mentality…
He is still as clumsy as ever.
I hope he doesn't have injury in his return now.
" See ya, Iruka-sensei."
And Genma-san left.
"' Iruka-sensei! Naruto-niichan is back! Let's go see him ! "
Konohamaru rushed to me and exclaimed,
" Sure! Let's go Konohamaru."
Then we turned around and saw,
"K-Kakashi-san... ?"
I called out suddenly,
" Yo' It's been awhile Iruka-sensei~ I heard Godaime is here in the academy. I'll be reporting now. See ya~"
Kakashi-san replied as he passed us.
" Thank you for the hard work.."
I, with indifference whispered as I look down.
" Sensei? Is something wrong?"
Konohamaru asked suddenly,
I flinched as I look at Konohamaru forcing a smile to assure him.
"No. Nothing Konohamaru! Let's go to Naruto!"

At the Konoha front gate.
'' Naruto-niichan! Welcome back! ''
Konohamaru exclaimed after we saw Naruto and Sakura walking near us.
" Yes. It's been awhile Konohamaru! "
Naruto gladly replied,
" Naruto-niichan, let's duel! I have developed the jutsu you taught me! "
"Really?! Then let's test it out!"
" Yes! Now watch my prowess Naruto-niichan! Sexy no Juts-------acckk!!"
" -----stop IDIOT!! "
Konohamaru confidently said as he weave seal but was smacked quickly by Sakura.
" Naruto! Why the hell did you taught him that nonsense jutsu!! Haaa?!"
" Eh??! But Sakura-chan I -------"
" Shut up! You stupid! "
I approached Naruto and Sakura closely as I greeted them, my way of stopping their quarrel.
" Naruto and Sakura, welcome back. By the way, where is Sai-kun ? "
" Ah thanks, Iruka-sensei! Sai has been suddenly summoned by a jounin so he got ahead of us. "
Naruto answered me.
'' Is that so? Okay. "
" Maaa---- I'm hungry!"
Naruto suddenly uttered clutching his stomach. I smiled then expressed,
'' C'mon Naruto. I'll treat you a ramen"
" Yayy! I love you Iruka-sensei!! "
" Sakura? Konohamaru? I'll treat you too. Let's go."
" Aiyah, thanks Iruka-sensei but I'll have Konohamaru go with me to buy something. "
" Eh??? No I'll go to Naru- ---accckk"
Konohamaru was cut off as Sakura pulled him by the shoulders.
'' C'mon, I'll buy a lot of stuff. I need a hand. Let's go Konohamaru! We'll go ahead Iruka-sensei! ''
Sakura pulled Konohamaru away.
" Well , they should get along together too." I hopelessly said,
'' Now let's go to Ichiraku? "
" Yesss! Let's go to Ichiraku--dattebayo! "
"Ichiraku has a new menu, you should try it Naruto. "
I expressed as Naruto became more excited to go, we get going as---
"Naruto. "
We bump roads with Kakashi-san.
" Oh Kakashi-sensei! Do you need something? "
" We need to talk. ''
Kakashi-san sternly said,
" Ehhhh...."
" B-but... can you talk with Naruto after he get his fill? He's hungry now. "
I interrupted politely,
Kakashi-san look straight to my eyes and I unconsciously look away.
'' Iruka-sensei, I'm sorry but this is an important matter. ''
" Is that so… but---''
'' Naruto let's go. You can just eat after we talked. ''
Kakashi-san said with a low voice but the solemnness in his words are clear.
'' Iruka-sensei just treat me next time, ok?! Hehehehe"
Naruto cheerfully expressed to me.
'' Cmon Naruto. ''
Kakashi-san called again.
" But Naruto....should you eat first--- '
I worriedly said,
'' Iruka-sensei... stop being silly. ''
Kakashi-san interrupted and surprised me ghastly.
What.....?
" Silly?! Me??"
I blurted with my voice agitated.
'' I mean, dont worry Iruka-sensei. We'll just be quick or I'll as well treat Naruto in your stead."
He added and caught me off guard even more.
"I appreciate it Iruka-sensei but it's really fine. I'll see you later! "
Naruto said to me then they left.
