The hero and the witch.

Summoned by a cute witch girl!

Akko walked down the hall with her two best friends, Sucy and Lotte.

If she could call them that.

They had honestly only met the day before as they were chased by an enormous chicken that could kill you with a single breath.

"I can't believe I'm at a witch school!" She said giddily as she hugged Lotte's arm. "I'm so excited!"

"W-Well..." Lotte said setting a finger onto her chin. "I-I think we are going to gather into the Gymnasium t-today. Something about F-Familiar summoning."

Akko gasped. "No way! We can summon familiars?!"

"N-Not likely." Lotte said. "M-Most can't summon f-familiars u-until their s-second year."

"I'll get one!" Akko said determinedly. "And it'll be the best summons ever! I-It'll... It'll be a dragon with electric breath and fire claws!"

"A-Actually o-our Principal has the o-only d-dragon summon known." Lotte said as Sucy nodded beside her.

Akko sulked as they continued towards the Gymnasium.

"But I want a pet dragon!" She said hugging Sucy's arm.

"Familiars aren't pets." A snobby voice said from behind the three of them.

Turning they all saw Diana.

"Huh?" Akko asked confused.

"Familiars aren't pets." Diana said again. "They are partners that you control. Not pet's assistants."

"Oh!" Akko said slamming her fist into her palm. "That makes sense!"

Diana frowned. Her and her friends bumped past the three of them.

"Oof." Akko said as she hit the ground. "Hey you big meanie! I was trying to be nice."

"Well we weren't." One of Diana's underlings said snottily.

Akko stuck her tongue out at them.

Lotte and Sucy helped her up and the three of them continued to walk towards the gym.

"Their so mean." Akko said softly as they reached the Gym.

"First Years?" A Teacher asked and the three of them nodded. "Alright head over to the furthest court. There your instructor will inform you of what you are supposed to be doing."

"Thank you." Akko said and the three of them quickly made their way towards the furthest court.

The three of them were out of breath as they ran the five courts towards theirs.

Akko caught her breath and sighed as she looked towards their instructor.

A few minutes later all of the First year students were standing in front of the instructor. 

"Hello children." She said. "My name is Gelovine. I will be the one who will instruct you on how to summon your familiar. Now most of you will not be able to summon one. Maybe even none of you. So don't feel to bad alright? Besides you're only allowed to have a single summons at once. Can any of you tell me what a summons is?"

Diana raised her hand and was called on.

"A summons is an outer dimensional creature." She said. "We witches summon them so as to use them as assistants. Since they are bonded to us with a blood pact we can control them all we need."

"Very good!" Gelovine said. "Now can you tell me what they usually look like?"

"Yes." Diana said. "They usually appear as a small animal of course there are exceptions such as the Principals dragon summon."
