Chapter 42

“Now, you guys asked me about what the hell this paper is, right?” I asked back as I showed them Ace’s Vivre Card and most of the Straw-Hats nodded in understanding.

“This,” I pointed at the paper, “Is a Paper of Life.” They ‘ooh-ed’ before nodding, looking back at the vivre cards that Ace gave them AKA my paper of life. “This in a special form of paper made in New World and made from part of a person’s fingernail which is then made into paper.”

“Now, look at this,” I put the paper right in front of Flame and he breathed out fire, which making them gasped at the sight before the fire dies down, still revealing the paper fully with no burns. “It is completely fireproof and waterproof,” I grinned before looking away a bit, “too bad there’s no water here,” I muttered before turning back to everyone.

“And look at this,” I put the paper right on the crab’s back and use my cap as a cover for the winds that kept blowing, they peeked closer and we saw that the paper slowly moving.

“It’s moved!” Nami exclaimed.

“Isn’t it because of the breeze?” Usopp asked.

“It’s kinda hard to explain it to you guys when we’re on the way to Alubarna and breezes are everywhere.” I sighed as the wind blowing fast before looking back to where Luffy was before, “I wonder he will be okay…” I muttered before I felt a slight pain right in my stomach and I grunted in pain.

“E-Eri? Are you okay?” Nami asked in worry as she saw me in pain, “You look pale.” She added.

“My stomach…” I breathed out as I gripped my stomach, “It hurts…” I added.

“What!?” I heard squeaky voice and footsteps before I felt furry hands on me to check me out. “Where does it hurt?” Chopper asked in worry.

“My stomach…” I replied as he lied me down and I curled in pain, still gripping my stomach, “It’s like I’ve been stabbed right through from my stomach to my back by a hook.” I added.

“But you don’t seem to be bleeding,” he said as he checked my stomach.

‘Could it be… Luffy?’ I thought as I started to worry about my baby big brother of mine and as I closed my eyes, I saw a picture of Luffy being stabbed by Crocodile using the hook before I opened my eyes again and the pain in gone. I sat up with blank face as the pain is gone and laughed nervously.

“What, the pain is gone.” I pointed out and stretched out.

“What?” Chopper asked and I grinned at him.

“Thanks for checking me up, Chopper, you’re the best.” I told him and he started dancing as he denied that he’s happy before he’s back to the rein of the crab and I looked down with worried expression.

“Are you really okay, Eri-chan?” Vivi asked as she comforted me by stroking my back, I nodded.

“Yeah, I’ll be fine.” I replied with a weak smile.

“Zoro, you’re only wasting energy.” Nami pointed out and I saw that Zoro is making the camel on his sword as a weight. He snapped at him while Sanji-san is talking things before provoking the green head, which earning those two to fight again and stopped when Nami told them to by hitting both of their heads. I coughed when the smoke of Sanji-san’s cigar blew over me and I hit his head for that, which he quickly apologized.

The others kept talking while I kept looking at the back in distance as the day got dark and I suddenly felt that I couldn’t breathe. I coughed as I tried to breath and wheezing, kept struggling to breathe but no avail. The other who saw me quickly approached me and started to panic. I felt my head is starting to feel light and I saw stars in my eyes.
