- Naruto's POV -

"Y...You what?" I say completely and utterly shocked.

"Ahh, I see you are back Naruto, how's Konohamaru?" Kakashi-Sensei asked with a bead of sweat racing down his face, as he was trying to change the subject.

"H...He's fine now, and you can go to your new office Baa-Chan. Now, what i...is this about wanting to a...adopt me?" I say as a tear rolls down my face.

"Ahh, you heard that didn't you," he said sheepishly scratching the back of his head.

"You want to adopt me?" I say shaking, tears flowing from my eyes. I took a small step forward and another and before I knew it I was bear hugging the one person I thought of as a father figure to me.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I say tears now having a constant flow down my cheeks.

I feel his hand pat-down on my head and his other arm wrap around me.

"Your welcome Naruto." I look up at him to see his smiling eyes, but now I see it in a new light instead of him being my Sensei. I see him as my father. I smile back and wrap my arms tighter around my new father.

"May I call you Tou-San?" I ask sheepishly while rocking back and forth on my heels.

"Only in private Naruto, not out on missions or anything. Remember I am still your sensei and just because you are now technically my son doesn't mean I will go easy on you. In fact, I plan to train you even harder than before," He said with a more wicked smile only being covered by his mask.

"Now all you have to do is sign that you indeed agree to adopt Naruto, and there is no need to check your ideals towards the boy's condition as you were his father's student," Tsunade said as she pulled out the adoption forms for Kakashi-Sensei.

"H...Hai, T...Tou-San!" I say before we leave Tsunade-Baa-Chan to her paperwork to pack my belongings.

- Timeskip -

"Here it is, The Hatake family home, it's not much, but it has plenty of room for us," He said looking at the place he used to live in.

I remember once his dad died he moved to his own apartment. He still technically owned it, but couldn't sell it as this is the last place he saw his dad happy, from what I can recall.

"You know the villagers will hate you more because of this right?" I ask just now realizing what this could do for his reputation.

"Well, it's not like it can get any worse..." He said now looking at the ground.

"L...Let's just get settled in shall we?" He asked to which I nodded.

We entered the house into a living room that had a table with a few chairs, which were covered in dust.

"Uhh, Tou-San when was the last time you've been here?" I asked, realizing how dirty the place was.

"I haven't stepped foot in here since the day my father died," he said as I nodded.
