The rumble of car engine rolled down the wet pavement, the click clack of wiper blades across the windshield as the steady rain fell down onto the quiet night. A woman sat behind the wheel of a 1968 ford mustang, cobalt blue. She had been on the road for close to two days and she was exsausted. 'Ok, next motel that comes up, im taking it.' She yawned, her body ached and she needed a shower. About an hour later she pulled into the parking lot of a motel that had seen better days. She parked and got out, heading inside the office.

About ten minutes later she came out with her key and quickly slid into the driver seat and drove to the entrance of where her room was. She grabbed a duffle bag from the back seat which had an extra change of clothes and her tolietry bag, along with a few other items. She also grabbed her laptop case and leather jacket, heading up to her room. She quickly unlocked the door and moved inside the room, locking the door behind her and setting her bag on the bed, stretching.

Her joints protested angerly, sleeping in the back seat of the mustang would do that. She moved into the bathroom, starting the shower, stripping as the water heated up. She stood at about five foot six, and weighed around a hundred and seventy five pounds, give or take. She pulled off her shirt, a silver dragon pendent hung between her breasts, and she never took it off. Her body had old scars, some raised and jagged, others white with age.

She undid the braid her hair was in and shook her hair out, running her hands through it, wincing as she found a knot. She stepped into the shower, sighing as the hot water hit her sore back and shoulders, loosening up the sore joints. She tipped her head back, her eyes slipping closed as the water ran down her body. She showered quickly, stepping out and wrapped a towel around herself. She ran a brush through her long dark hair, moving out into the bedroom, pulling the towel off and pulled on a pair of baggy shorts before crawling under the blankets of one of the two beds.

Bzz...Bzz....Bzzz...

She rolled over, growling some in her half asleep state and grabbed her phone off the night stand, answering it. "You had better have a good excuse for waking me up." "Well sorry kid, but i got a lead you need to look into." She groaned in annoyance, "Uncle Bobby couldnt this wait until in the morning?" "Kid....its two in the afternoon." She pulled the phone away from her face, looking at the time and sighed, "I got in late last night, well, this morning. Send me the file, i'll see what i can find out." She hung up and put her phone back on the nightstand before rolling over onto her side and sitting up, her hair in every direction.

She slid out of bed and grabbed her laptop, opening it up and sat it on the small round table next to the window. She waited for the file to come through from Bobby, her stomach growling loudly. She quickly got dressed and pulled her boots on, locking the door behind her and headed down to the small diner she had passed on the way in. She headed inside and sat down at a booth, getting a burger and an order of onion rings with a glass of their sweet tea. She grabbed a paper from another booth, opening it up and started looking it over. An article caught her eye, "A body had been found near the crash site, all its organs removed and blood drained, but there was no sign of fowl play."

'Interesting....that is very interesting.' The door of the diner opened and two men walked in, one with a leather jacket and a black shirt, jeans and boots. The other, the taller of the two, wore a plaid shirt, blue jeans and sneakers. They sat down at the counter as the waitress brought over her food. She thanked her and started eating, keeping an ear out for anything amiss.
