Prologue

Hi, My Name is Kalori Luchesi, I am a vampire. A natural-born one born into the Luchesi Clan, the most prominent clan on the East Coast of the Continental United States. We reside in the Appalachian mountains, taking in strays from the southeastern states.

My four older brothers; Brando, Lorenzo, Marcello, and Rocco, (also known as, Perfect, More Perfect, Extra Perfect, and Most Perfect, at least by my father's logic), were all preparing to take their positions in the monarchy, "future kings In their own right" as my father,King Onorato Luchesi, always says. Then, there is me: The runt of the litter who can't amount to anything. You can thank Brooke Martin for that last one, she's been the plague of my existence since the 6th grade. This is where our story starts, in my sad hopeless life, as a teenage vampire.
