Andrew's POV

The last thing I expected was for me and Ashley to hit off well. We were total opposites - she was an extrovert, loud and cheerful, while I was an introvert and avoided crowded places in general. I wasn't really thinking when I asked if she could go to dinner with me, really. But I have to admit, I did enjoy myself. She had probably picked up on the fact that I wasn't one to wear my heart on my sleeve and that I was more than happy to listen to her talk, but unlike others, she did give me the chance to give my own input, something I appreciated. Usually when you're quiet, people assumed you had nothing to say and skipped over you. It's just, I don't see the point in opening my mouth when I have nothing meaningful to say.

'Hey, how was work yesterday? You must have come in really late. ' Ella said first thing next morning.

I kissed her on her cheek and smiled. 'Not bad for a first day. And sorry, I went out with a colleague after I finished my work late. It's pretty fun though, and I'm more than happy you scored this job for me.' I said gratefully. My girlfriend works as a manager in a networking company. And she has a lot of connections, so it wasn't surprising that she'd managed to arrange an interview for me with Mr Pettini then.

'I'm happy when you're happy. ' she replied, her cute button nose crinkling as she smiled, a glint in her emerald eyes.

I kind of felt guilty at this point. I was actually supposed to meet her for dinner last night, and I actually could have made it if I'd rushed off immediately after making the video. I didn't know why my sense of urgency didn't hit me yesterday. Maybe it was just because I was actually reluctant to leave cos of my cool new job.

'We'll meet for dinner tonight. ' I promised firmly.

'Of course. I'm kind of craving sushi. ' she said playfully.

'I'm kinda craving you .' I said in a deep voice, trying to be sexy. She actually dug this even though I thought I sounded like a dying frog.

Ella giggled. 'OK, Mr Suave. See you. ' she blew me a kiss and ran for her car.

I love her.

Ashley's POV

'So where did you guys go last night? ' Sara asked.

'Just a little cafe. ' I kept my eyes on the road, not really wanting to divulge any details. For some reason, I felt like it had been a long time since I'd connected so well with a guy who was totally unlike me on so many levels. But it was good news. I was really glad he wasn't the monster colleague I'd made him out to be.

'So, he isn't as bad as you think right? ' Sara prodded.

'We all have our days.' I said vaguely.

'Aw cmon, nothing happened?'

'What do you mean, something has to happen?' I raised an eyebrow.

'I mean, I don't know. I saw the chemistry between you two. '

'We didn't even really talk in the office yesterday, you don't know anything. ' I rolled my eyes.

'You're right you guys didn't. But Quinta sent me the video she directed. ' Sara teased. 'I'm starting to ship Ashdrew. '

'Sorry to burst your bubble darlin', I'm afraid he's taken and a fictitious couple we'll always be.' I said lightly. 'And Ashdrew? ' I snorted.

'Yeah, it's the ship name your fans gave. ' Sara shrugged. 'In any case, I'm glad he wasn't as horrible as you'd thought.'
