Andrew's POV

The next morning, I woke up to the aroma of bacon and eggs. I rubbed sleep out of my eyes and shuffled to the kitchen like a zombie.

'What time is it?'

Ella chewed on a piece of bacon sheepishly. '3am. Sorry, I was just craving making breakfast before I went off. I'm usually too busy to cook in Aussie. '

My senses heightened and adrenaline rushed through my veins. I'd almost forgot Ella was leaving. Going back to Australia for a good 2 years.

'And you thought you could get away eating this scrumptious meal all by your greedy self?' I picked up a fork and scooped some eggs into my mouth. 'I swear this is the only thing keeping us together.' I teased.

'Andrew. You'll always love me, right? ' Ella said seriously.

'Always. ' I promised.

Her mouth was over mine in reply, the taste of cherry lipbalm and bacon a surprisingly delightful mixture which sent shivers down my spine.

'Andrew. ' she stared into my eyes.

I knew what it meant and led her to my bed.

Saturday came, and I offered to drive to Ashly's (yes she changed her name. I have no idea why she suddenly cared so much about her looks/identity. I mean, I know she does but was she trying to impress someone?) to pick her up.

'Hey, I was just choosing my outfit. Which one looks nicer? ' Ashly held up a teal dress that ended just above her knee and a top with a simple pleated skirt.

'Umm, this? ' I pointed to the latter.

'I thought so too.' Ashly smiled. 'You have pretty good taste when it comes to ladies' clothes. It's my favourite shirt. '

'Of course, Ella teaches me this kind of things, ' I said lightly.

She smiled and asked me to wait in her living room as she changed. When she emerged, I suppressed the urge to inhale sharply. She looked really... good.

She was stunning.

'You look gorgeous. ' I said.

'Gorgeous? That's all you can come up with?' Ashly pretended to look offended.

'I like the way your hair falls over your forehead just above your eyebrows. ' I blurted out thoughtlessly.

'Aw fine, I'll take that,' Ashly smiled.

When we reached the venue (it was at an open stadium) , the sky was a canvas of bright shades of pink, yellow and orange. The peaceful scenery was however, undermined by the cacophony of loud voices and yells that filled the atmosphere with excitement and me with uneasiness. Fortunately, Ashly picked up on my awkwardness and silently led us to our seats where I sat down gratefully and pulled up the latest Ashdrew video. The views were even higher, and the comments never seemed to stop coming.

If it was even possible, the decibels in the stadium shot through the roof once more and that was when I knew the concert was starting.

I would like to say my awkwardness didn't transcend to my voice, but it did. I couldn't sing for the life of me, but I couldn't help myself from belting out This Song Saved My Life and Jetlagged, my favourite numbers from them.

'Alright! Now's the time for the kiss cam!'

The camera and strobe lights panned all over the humongous crowd whose energy was pulsating like a giant heartbeat on the ground.

The purple neon light lingered near the section next to ours for a moment, then stopped and beamed down on me.

'Alright there, guy! Choose a person from your left or right to smooch!'

I glanced surreptitiously to my left. Thank God it wasn't a beastly six foot tall guy. Unfortunately I was now caught between a wall and a hard place. Because the person beside me was a willowly brunette with the cutest pair of glasses that so closely resembled Ella. But if I didn't kiss Ashly, would it seem like an insult? But if I did, things will get so awkward between us. And the Ashdrew fanbase would go mental if they found out. Which I wasn't sure if it was a good thing.

'The show can't go on if you don't make a move, pal! ' a guy two rows in front turned back and yelled. 'And what's so tough? Just do both!'

Everyone burst into giggles.

Ohwhatthehell

Ashly's POV

Andrew's POV

I did it.

'Boy, you are a good kisser.' She giggled, a flush rising in her cheeks. 'I kinda thought she was your girlfriend though. '

I turned away quickly, embarrassed.

The rest of the concert I was feeling distracted and Ashly didn't once nudge me or scream in my ear with excitement when the chorus was on.

Ashly's POV

He didn't kiss me.

Andrew's POV

'Great concert.' I commented as we made our way to my car, squeezing through the throngs of fans scrambling out to catch a glimpse of the band as they left.

'The best. ' Ashly smiled a little too brightly. Her eyes were dimmed.

'Listen, Ashly. I have nothing against you. It's just, I don't want us to be awkward. ' I finally said.

'It wouldn't be awkward if it meant nothing. ' Ashly said quietly, but I heard it.

'Ashly, yknow I would've kissed you. I mean, it's just that I didn't know if you were okay with it.' My words came out in a rush.

'Andrew. ' Ashly stared into my eyes. 'I'm more than okay with it.'

'Alright. ' I nodded dumbly.

'Andrew, I like you.'

I stopped dead in my tracks.

'I like you, Andrew. That's the truth. Nobody has made me feel more at ease than you. Nobody has shown concern for me and my family like you have. You understand how I feel even though I act like I'm happy all the time.'

She paused, her smile still as wide as ever even though it was just for show. 'Well, that's all I want to say. Just to get this off my chest. No worries, I'll be over you real soon. I'm always like this when it comes to guys, yknow? Just indecisive. I'm being really stupid now, just forget it-'

I silenced her quickly with my lips.
