So Jin was very unsettled for the entire day. The vibration kept So Jin's mind off her studies. She was so disturbed to the point that she had to shut down her phone. Xiumin noticed So Jin being unexceptionally weird today. She kept on going to the toilet and looked very worried. Xiumin asked her about it during their break time.
" So Jin, is there anything the matter? You looked very disturbed today. " Xiumin asked. " It's. . . It's just nothing.. " So Jin answered. She just got together with Xiumin and didn't want to worry him too much. " You can't lie, you can just pour out your heart to me." Xiumin assured her. So Jin reluctantly explained to Xiumin about the text messages and phone calls from an unknown number. " What's the phone number? " So Jin sneaked her phone out, her hands trembling upon remembering those texts. After taking a look at the number that sent texts and called So Jin, Xiumin found the number similar. He somehow saw them somewhere before. He then took out his own smartphone without So Jin knowing and typed in the number. " nappeun yeoja " the name flashed on Xiumin's phone screen. And indeed he knows this person, very close to that person too.
After school, Xiumin convinced So Jin to go home and take a rest because she had a long day. So Jin went back home and Xiumin went to investigate those text messages. " So Jin, leave this to me. I promise I'll get back to you once I find out anything okay? " Xiumin tried to make So Jin go home. For he doesn't want to let her know his relationship with the anonymous. " Okay then, take care and be safe okay? Call me if anything crops up. " So Jin them went home reluctantly. Xiumin took a cab rushed to that place, to look for that unknown. When he reached, he stood before a tall luxurious building. " I hope it's not you. " Xiumin then rushed into the building.
On the way to the elevator of that building, people he walked past or walk past him bowed to him. Some of them even stared in awe and his looks and figure. He walked into the elevator and pushed the button 15. The door opened he stomped into a office but was stopped by a short girl, wearing black frames glasses. " Sorry sir, the President is currently busy, please leave your name and number down for me to notify her. " The girl said sternly. " I'm sure you're new here. Get lost. " Xiumin snapped at her and push his way into the office. He opened the door and a woman and 2 men in suits came into sight. They were discussing something when Xiumin barged in. They paused and stared at him. The woman then spoke. " We'll talk more about this next time, looks like someone I'll not seen in a long time is looking for me. " she told the two me. I suits and broke into a smile, revealing her white teeth.
" So what happened that make you storm into my office so angrily? " The woman said calmly and told Xiumin to seat down. " Ya. Did you text her today. " Xiumin demanded her. " I'm your mum, why are you speaking to me like this? " The woman replied. " My mum died 5 years ago. I've got no mum. " Xiumin said, now even more angrily. " It's been so many years, you left home and didn't even come for your dad's funeral. How long do you still want to be mad for? It have no idea, how heartbreaking it is for me all these years. Just because of one thing we did, you left us forever. And now, your demanding an answer from me like a criminal. " The woman then started sobbing. " Just leave So Jin alone. Don't pull her in to this. If not I'll tell the world what a President of this great luxurious department store did to get what she wanted. " Xiumin threatened her. " You're threatening me? Trust me Xiumin, So Jin is not for for you. You have such a powerful family background yet you gave it all up for that one thing. " The woman retorted. Xiumin ignored it all and ran out of the office.
He ran and ran and stopped near Han river. He broke down into tears. He sat down near the riverside while he thought of this incident that caused their family to break up to this state.
Flashback to 5 years ago.
Xiumin overheard his parents conversations in their room. " We have to do this yeobo. Let's just burn down their mansion so that we can take over their shares in the company. " The woman said. " But, what if we get caught for it. We would be in deep trouble. " The man said. They discussed for a long time and Xiumin remember their last sentence clearly. " Okay then let's burn their entire family to death so that we can gain control of the company." Xiumin felt so affairs when he heard that. He tried to stop them. He even quarreled with them over this. But it was to no use. The next day the headlines of the newspaper was: " President of luxurious department store and brand Re Na died in a fire along with his wife. Child goes missing.
END OF FLASH BACK
" Xiumin knew clearly it was his parents doing for they gained the most from this. He felt apologetic to the child and have been trying to her since a year ago but to no results. He heard that she even changed her name. Xiumin then left house ever since, he couldn't believe that his parents are such cruel people. Xiumin years keep flowing out, he couldn't stop it. His sadness are exceptionally strong today because his loved ones are going to fall into danger because of him. He then called So Jin down. So Jin rushed down upon hearing his cried over the phone.
When So Jin was here, Xiumin lay his head on So Jin's shoulders. So Jin kept quiet and let Xiumin cry. The sun slowly sets and they spent their night at the Han River.
