what i want

"hey, harumi."

the girl was leaning on the banister of the bounty, staring down at a tiny ninjago. she looked over her shoulder to see lloyd.

harumi smiled. "hi. how's it going?"

"i was going to ask you that," lloyd told her. "you know, after all of that happened."

keep your smile. you're going to need it to pull off this act.

how was it going for her? she had lost her parents. twice. and it had been the ninja's fault. twice.

"oh, you know," the jade princess replied. "it's going alright. i'm sad, of course. but at least i'm still here. they would be glad about that."

lloyd nodded, his hair like strands of gold in the sunlight. "that makes sense. my parents aren't here, either. i don't talk to them much."

"i'm sorry." 

she was gaining their trust, one by one. victory was almost in her grasp. she just needed to wait.

it so happened that the quiet one was also very patient.

the downfall of the ninja would be soon. very soon.

but looking into the emerald green eyes of lloyd garmadon, she wasn't entirely sure that was what she wanted.

harumi pushed that thought away.
